Used 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Consumer Reviews
What an amazing car.
I just purchased my SVT Cobra with 78,xxx miles on it, but it looked almost new, especially the engine bay. It had a few rock chips on the front bumper and hood, which will be taken care of in the next couple weeks. My first mustang was a 1968, 289, with an auto which I bought right after I got out of Army in 1971. Prior to this car, I only owned one other mustang, but it had a 6 cylinder...dog. However, I've driven 5 other mustangs that were owned by the State of Florida, and loved going to work knowing I got to drive a powerful car with a 5-speed, the hot rod and beemer drivers couldn't escape anymore...ha ha. The past few months I've been looking for a vette, but when this car came across my radar, I jumped at it as I've always loved mustangs. This car is amazing in Laser Red Tint Clearcoat, black leather, and a 5-speed. It's such a joy to drive, and the paint is still in amazing shape. I plan on doing some mods over the next year or so, to make it a real tire burner. Right after the stone chip repairs, I'll be giving it a good ceramic coat. The dealership where I bought it refused to do a front end alignment (as the car has a slight shimmy in the front end), and it has a slight oil or tranny burning smell (which could be from spilled fluid after the oil change and transmission fluid replacement), but again that will be taken care of soon. Overall, I love the car, and it's such a blast to drive. I think everyone should own one at least once. I still love my Cobra. I've made a few updates to the car, but overall, It's pretty much stock. I tried to update the shifter, but was disappointed with the short-throw shifter I put in, so removed it, cleaned up the stock shifter, put in a better gasket, and it seems to shift a little better. I still want to replace the exhaust and wheel/tires, other than that, I'll let it as is. It's just plain fun to drive, and I get a ton of compliments on it everywhere I go.

96 Cobra Coupe
An excellent performer, especially in a straight line, with good amenities and a sporting (harsh ride) attitude.

Good Bang for the Buck
Other than an annoying brake related squeek, the car has been great. What better combination of power, fun, and looks can you get for the money?? I've had the car 7+ years with a whopping total of 4,800 miles.
Jack is wild
This is a one owner, never in snow or bad weather, this Mustang gt color exterior is a deep black and interior all black leather plus carping. Black convertible top, black bra and perfect or for each side back to the wheel wells. For the first couple years my wife drove it a bunch but always garage kept. We now just startup twice a month and may by in summer and late fall will take it out just keep it moving. V-8 , 5.0 5 speed. Before an accident comming home from work in April 4th ,2008 I would wash and wax at least twice a month then back in garage I can'tell drive anymore
