Used 2005 Ford F-150 Consumer Reviews
Needs help in three areas.
HVAC controls. Limited choices. Slow to heat or cool. Bad fogging problem outside front windshield at engine vent. Visteon compressors are lame. Premium sound system: NOT! Poor controls/performance. Horrible speaker layout and too few of them. Low quality plastics everywhere and very little in the way of convenience areas compared to GMC or Dodge XLT. 4.6L V-8 Heritage engine dates from a decade ago. Low HP, torque & MPGs. Not particularly smooth, especially when A/C is running. Still, I paid $10K less than a Titan or Tacoma - so I can live with the gripes.
Great truck!
Over all the truck is fantastic, offering a lot of room and plenty of options. It is with out a doubt the best ride I've ever gotten out of a truck. I do think that Ford could have gotten a lot more out of that 4.6L V8 than they did. Specs rate it at around 230 HP, which I found surprising. But it still has plenty of power for every day driving and hauling needs. Fuel economy could be better, but with a large v-8 like that it actually performs really well in that department. I have gotten 20 MPG for highway use and average between 12-15 for city.

G.O.A.T
This truck is a joy to own. My previous vehicle is a 2000 Honda Civic, so you already know the difference. I have finally joined the Ford family along with my wife & in laws.
Excellent truck
The truck can hold up to six people, while storing items in the back. The Ford F150 drives excellent. When going over bumps, it is not as noticeable as other trucks at all! We really have enjoyed having it.
Lariat F150
I wanted an upgrade from the 1995 basic F150 I traded in. I feel good riding in it, looking at it, washing it and getting numerous complements. I plan on keeping this one longer then the previous truck.
