Used 2022 Ford EcoSport Consumer Reviews
A Fun and sporty around town car.
I love my eco sport. I have the 2021 in gray exterior tan interior. Driving is easy and sporty. Great for in town, school, work, shopping. I have driven several 4 to 6 hour road trips, vehicle is very comfortable. Its drawback on highway driving is the engine power, it struggles through the mountains, but not enough to be a problem. This car is really made for town driving and has a lot of storage space for errands, etc. the seats fold down completely. Gas mileage is a bit low for such a small car. Loved the price (bought new), and driving it is just fun. Very satisfied with this car. Added 2 yrs later - still love this car. The only thing that has been an issue is the area between the windshield and the front doors. It is difficult to see in that spot. A severe blind spot. In order to see I have to really lean to the right or the left of it to proceed.

More than I expected
When I first saw this car in the showroom, I had my doubts. It seemed small and a bit funky to me. Then I sat in it and took it for a test drive. What a difference! I fell in love with it right off. It handles well and has a surprisingly smooth ride. The 3 cylinder engine has more pep than the 4 in my Focus! Amazing vehicle! UPDATE: I first saw one of these on the showroom floor. I wasn't impressed. My first thoughts were that it probably handled like a tank and rode like a dump truck. Then I took one for a test drive. It rode smooth despite the short wheelbase and handles like a fine tuned sports car. I was blown away! Everything is conveniently located and I love the over all design inside and out. The curbside rear door was also a major selling point. When it's time for another, I hope these are still around.

TrueBlue Lil SUV
I needed a small commuter for work, but I live in the NW. AWD was a must have. I've had great luck with fords in the past. This fit the bill for me. Small. (5"a 5" man and it has great visibility.) Easy to park. Averaging 28 mpg. (Mix Hwy and City) Fits everything I need for work in it. Has great features I actually use. (Remote start by phone, heated seats, sunroof, storage net and rack, ac, back up camera and sensor, power everything, you know, everyday comforts. While no, it will never win a race. It gets up to freeway seed easy and feels solid on the road. I know professional reviews hate this car. I don't get it. The looks. I think it's cute. The speed. Wrong type of car if you're in a hurry. Handling. Secure/ planted at any speed I drive and I live on the top of a large hill with that NW weather I mentioned already. The price. Totally got a great deal with incentives and Ford $, also great interest rate. All and all, couldn't be happier. Sad it's the last year they will make this. Glad it's not the "IT" car and in today's world, got a real deal.

Cute Car But No Spare Tire
The Ecosport does not come with a spare tire. Ford Pass was of at little help when we had a flat tire. They sent put a wrecker at our expense. I guess most people don't change tires anymore.

Great Little SUV!
For the money, it's a decent SUV! I got the 2021 Ford Ecosport S 4WD, version! It has all that I need,...to get to work and back! The wife has the top-of-the-line, Titanium edition! Her's is a 2019 rendition,...bought new! That's the overall, BEST one,...especially for towing, and trips!

A little pricey
Power sucks stay away from mountains no room in the back seats no spare tire check engine light had came on at 30,000 miles for thermostat housing and 3rd brake light was loose due to no gasket and wasn’t covered by bumper to bumper warranty and was told headlights and break lights wouldn’t be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty 🤬🤬

Cute Car but not Worth the Price Tag
This car does have laggy speed acceleration and limited cargo room. The infotainment is easy to use with little to no glitches. I love all the latest tech it has to offer, and the quality on the rear view camera is amazing! Overall I probably wouldn’t recommend this car because acceleration is laggy. In my opinion, the sticker price is high and for that price I miss well upgrade to a car that is more Roomy and provides better acceleration.

Ecosport 4 Month Review
If you want a flashy, fast, and small CUV, then the Ecosport is not for you. It is a basic car that gets you from point A to point B without any fuss. I find the sitting position comfortable and the view all around is excellent. No problems to date with almost 4k miles. 6 speed auto shifts smoothly and preferable to CVT's found in similar class of vehicles. The only downside is no spare tire but inflator kit. Ford usually offers generous rebates and financing on the Ecosport as it's not a top seller. An excellent choice given the incentives. Update: After almost 1 year and almost 9,000 miles nothing has changed. The Ecosport does its job in a no nonsense manner. Maintenance has only been oil changes so far. Update 2: At 15,800 miles the vehicle was sold to Carvana. No issues, the Ecosport ran great. Highly recommended for basic transportation.

Amazing 4x4 for the size
I recently took a trip in a 2021 model s 4x4 and was extremely impressed at the ride and comfort. I am 6 foot 7 and fit just fine. The 4x4 out performed Jeeps on a mountian pass great ground clearance and plenty of power to pull itself over rocks and large ruts.

Don't buy this lol
I have driven this all week and I gotta say I couldn't imagine finding a car that is less powerful, refined, or user friendly. If I could give zero stars i would. It has no power what so ever, doesn't know what gear it should be in EVER and it has a drivers seat that is more like a motorcycle seat. And that auto shutoff thing at a stop light is gonna kill many people. I almost had a collision twice because of this. Hard to believe a car would be equipped with such a thing.

If I can save just one person from this
horrible financial decision. I will be so happy... Do not buy this car. Gas mileage is terrible, it doesn't come with a spare tire, just a repair kit. Hope you have AAA and aren't far from home when you slightly clip a curb. I wish I had done my research more before buying. There is a reason they discontinued it after 2022. I also bought it new in July (8 months ago), since then I've taken it in 3 times because the brakes sounded like they were rubbing. Each time the service guys have told me my brakes are fine, yet the sound conveniently disappears are taking it in. It's too late for me, but maybe not you. Goodluck.

Hate this car!!!
Was sucked into buying this tin can on wheels when I brought my 2020 Edge in 9 days before the lease was over. The buy out price was $20K but they out priced me on buying it and ended up with this $28K piece of junk, not enough space to say what I really think!!! Disgusted with Ford!!!

Little ford
I’ve had a lot of cars over the years, some a lot more expensive than the ford eco sport but let me tell you this little car is wonderful. It’s been very reliable, the best feature is everyday I get up to go to work it puts a smile on my face. I think if ford had advertised it more the world would have embraced it like the escort.
i eco the sentiments
having driven the ecosport at work, i already knew how it handled and knew what to expect... at work its the s model, but i got the se model , a few more options.... love everything about it.... esp the black with the black interior......
Not fuel efficient
Got this as a rental car. With 2 toddlers it’s the car is so compacted from the car seats no possibility of anyone seating in the middle. With the passenger seat pushed all the way forward and tilted my two-year-old feet is still touching the back of the seat. It also horrible on gas, I have had it only 10 days and already filled up 4x. The tank is so small that you have to fill up so frequently. Gas is not cheap and to already spend $120 in just 10 days. I couldn’t imagine owing this car.

Ecosport
I see more Ford Ecosport on the road than all the others in its class combined
What car does not have a spare tire...............
If the dealer would have let me know that there is no spare in this car, I would have never bought it. If they think a 70 yr old is going to sit on the side of the road and use some sealant and a funky air pump to help you get down the road. Looks great but not a great choice with minimal power for mountains. STAY FAR FAR AWAY
Nice vehicle
Great affordable vehicle, reliable, comfortable, and very fuel efficient.

Don't Buy FORD
This has been the worst investment we've ever made. We've owned this vehicle since 2021, and it's been nothing but problems. We've had to replace the engine, the engine oil pump, and the turbo. The car has spent more time in the shop under warranty than on the road. And the worst part? All scheduled maintenance was done at Ford Fajardo, so there's absolutely no excuse for the amount of issues we've had. This vehicle is a complete scam from Ford. The customer service at Ford in Fajardo, Puerto Rico is the worst we've ever experienced — unprofessional, unresponsive, and completely unreliable. Avoid this car and this dealership at all costs.
Good but needs improvement
I like my car but I have had to put a lot of money in it so far hopefully that stops.
I love ❤️ mine !!!
Bought it 11.5.2022- Have 10,000 miles on it now. Already took it on a couple road trips. I am in love with the size. The back door opens side ways and that was thee selling point for me. Mine also has a wrap which I have never seen on any others like it. I LOVE MINE !!!
Like the löok and features
Neat little car my Ranger blew up after a blown head gasket so I needed something to commute with. I love all of the features that come on this car, love the four wheel drive, do not have a problem with the ride or handling. I spend most of my day in a tractor trailer and to me this is a Cadillac. It's not a very aerodynamic car and the engine is windy with a lot of transmission shifting going on. That being said the features and the ground clearance and the cool moon buggy look I really appealing to me.

Cute little car.
I was looking for a hybrid to replace my 2010 Prius when I ran into the website and saw the EcoSport and fell in love with it. My wife has a Toyota Rav4 of the same color and most of the new technology as mine and both cars look like mother and daughter. LOL.

Tire Inflator
I LOVE my ecosport - I'm on my 3rd one! The tire inflator is genius! Takes up way less room than a spare tire and it works Great!
Another ford orphan
Like everything but the dashboard lighting and speedometer. Very dismal. I told service center, and they just laughed. NEVER HAD A SPEED LIMIT LIGHT SO UNREADABLE. Ford cheaped out on this. Too bad

Ecoslob!
Rental while my Subaru Crosstrek is in the bodyshop after a collision with a deer. Disliked this from the moment I sat behind the wheel. Uncomfortable driver seat. Poor outward vision sightlines. Silly "windows" at bottom of A pillars. you cannot see anything through. Rear seats only suitable for adults without legs. Lacking usable storage space. Abrupt shifts. Jiggly ride. Noisy cabin. Annoying stop/start. Worthless armrest for driver. Terrible fuel mileage and small gas tank. No spare tire. Inadequate headlights. Grabby brakes. Touch screen in center of dash placed to distract driver. Side-hinged rear hatch makes no sense and offers no protection open the in the rain and sometimes unusuable when parallel parking. Clunky oversized key-fob. Info center controls not intuitive and display too small. No wonder Ford discontinued this model after 2022 production.
