I have never had a vehicle in the garage as much as this dodge. I bought a used 04 2500 4wd quad slt. My first repair was replacing all the shocks, driving on the highway if I hit a bump the front end would pound had to slow way to for it stop. Then my water pump went, all the pulleys went, evap leak had to replace all the hoses on top of the gas tank. Had to replace front u-joints and upper and lower ball joints on both sides. Now @ 70k have to replace muffler which you can not buy after market so I'm putting dual exhaust on it. Sad thing is this truck gets babied. I never tow or haul anything. Just drive to work and back. Worst truck I've ever owned!

This truck is a blast to drive, very quiet and smooth, yet 345 horses under your foot to call on any time you need it. I love the 5 speed automatic and hemi combination. I got 17.6 mpg on the first highway miles trip I drove it on. I'm looking forward to pulling a camp trailer with it when the weather warms up. I can't understand why anyone would buy a Ford or Chevy when they can get a truck like this. There is no comparison.

I have owned most any type of vehicle you can think of and have owned countless trucks. This is my first Dodge and I'M SOLD ! I have a 2500HD 4x4 with the Cummins HO/auto. It gets between 16-18 mpg and has more power than any truck that I've ever been in. It runs great, drives like a car, and has all the creature comforts that you could want. This is probably the only vehicle that I have EVER been totally satisfied with. I highly recommend it and will buy another one when this one is worn out- But from what I hear that will be about 350K miles !Way To Go Dodge Boys !

For a 6202lb. truck w/ a gas engine , I'm enjoying the additions to this truck. I added an AFE intake & a double AERO-TURBINE muffler system to the truck right after buying it. With 2200 miles on it, I went on a trip to Yellowstone Park & then back thru west western half of Colorado. I averaged 16.3mpg on this mountain trip & had more power than I could use. Try these changes on yours. It was done for mileage, but it also added a lot more power.

I purchased this truck new in 2004. this was the third new dodge truck purchased by me.From previous experience I knew not to get the auto tranny due to failure in the previous two 1500s. I knew when I went to the dealer about cummins reliability and long life and I also requested the six speed manual. before I made the second payment, the truck broke down 5 times. However, dodge would not buy the truck back under the lemon law. you would need a really good lawyer to fight dodge. I am really glad I kept the truck. after I got a good mechanic from dodge to fix the problem this truck has been great. Pushing 175,000 miles and not another single issue. 24.5 mpg@70 mph 33.0 mpg@50 mph. still stock.
