Traded in a Chevy Imapala for a fun change. Really enjoying the ride and the comments from others really positive. Miss a few of the luxury features on the Chevy, but think the Caliber is delivering for me.

Want to trade it in...

I'm reading the reviews here and getting nervous about the transmission. For the last several fuel fill-ups, the car doesn't accelerate properly. It'll go, then there's a noticeable loss of power upon acceleration, then go, while my RPMs are all over the place. Usually, after getting gas, I'll have to pull over and re-tighten the gas cap (it looks like I have OCD at the pump... putting the cap on over and over, until I feel like I have a good seal). This morning (at 55k) my check engine light came on for no reason (haven't refueled in days). I'd like nothing more than to get the light to turn off, and trade it in before I'm out 4+k.

Too many problems

Loved this car the first year I had it, especially the adapter to plug my Ipod into. After a year, the radiator cap had to be replaced (car overheated). After 25,000 miles on tires- had to replace all tires because 3 out of 4 tires were out of allignment and inside tread was worn. Now, at 44,000 miles, Adaoter hose is leaking, car over heated like before, and fluid is leaking. conveniently out of warranty, this will cost me $485 to fixt ($120 of it to flush the fluid I had to put in the car to get myself unstranded, may have cost less to get a tow). This car also doesn't get as good as milage as it claims, and the tank is too small, still many trips to the gas station.

Big mistake, look twice and buy foreign

Nothing but trouble from day one. Had 12 miles on it and it has has been back to the dealer 6 times now from electrical issues to lag time in acceleration, covered under warranty. A metal skid plate that grounded down and had to be replaced, covered and now at 72,000 miles both ball joints are pretty much shot, not covered!I am meticulous about this car with oil changes, checking tire pressure and accelerating and breaking as gently as i can to make this car last me 20 years, so having something like this break was just unbelievable. Unreal. Gasket leaked around tail light, not covered. Short in wire that blew out headlight, covered but not the headlight. Unacceptable! Do not buy one

After driving a van for over 7 years, I was concerned about going back into a car. This car rides and drives like no other I have ever driven. By far the best quality vehicle for the money. All the added special features make you feel that you are driving a luxury vehicle and all the safety features make sure that you have a fun and more importantly, safe drive. For a 4 cylinder it is very quick and does not bog at all on takeoff. The gas mileage is definitely a plus!
