Auto stop and 9 speed undesirable

The auto stop feature creates slow starts and hesitation in acceleration. The 9 speed transmission causes sluggish shifts in lower gears and slower acceleration. Other than that, this is a great family car with above average space.

Great family vehicle!

The traverse was my dream car. I decided this after I had one as a loaner. The loaner I had was a 2012 and had third row seats. I fell in love with it. I told my boyfriend that if I were to ever get another vehicle that it would be the Traverse. I periodically was looking online for the right car and moment. I finally found one through auto trader. When we went to look at it, I fell in love with it. It had everything that I wanted! It had the third row seat, back up camera, moonroof, leather seats, heated seats! When I first bought this vehicle, I had a bunch of problems with it. I know I had some recall(s) and other issues but they were all fixed by the dealership. I love that there is a ton of room - at least more than my renegade had! We can put the third row seats down if we need more room. In the trunk area, you can lift up the floor of it and store more stuff below. It has a ton of plug ins for usb cords or regular house plugs. My daughter loves to be able to charge her phone to the regular house plugs in the car. I will run this car until it will not run no more and then I will get me a new traverse!

Overall good vehicle

Little heavy. Not fond of the 9 speed auto. 9th is too high. Comfortable. Bit thirsty at the pump. I don't particularly care for 3rd row seats. I had to disable everything from auto high beams to the detection and warning systems. It's overkill. It pulls my bass boat well.

PROs:This is a good value for the money. Very spacious, with plenty of legroom, even for the 3rd row seat. the back gate is wide enough to slide a 4x8 panel. CONs: The defrost system is bad during cold and snowing weather and creates dangerous conditions because viper blades freeze up. The roof rack is not adjustable and almost useless, because they are only about 2 feet apart and can not carry a long object. There is no light in the glove compartment and makes it hard to look for something at night. The turn signal indicators are apart and hard to locate at the first glance. They should have been on the center close together.

Traverse Review

Traverse is So far a good choice. As much room as my previous Tahoe and considerable better mileage with equivalent performance. UPDATE: Overall very satisfied with the Traverse that replaced my Tahoe. About the same amount of interior room. About 10 miles per gallon better gas mileage. Lower to ground and easier enter and exit.
