GM through and through
I needed a car that I could drive and get some of my money back after a couple of years. This car stickered at $36000 new and I thought I got a good deal with all the rebates. Here it is two years later and it is only worth $14000 in good condition. Ridiculous! Last American car I will ever own. The interior looks like a first grader made it in a class project. All the weather stripping around the doors is falling off, the radio has been replaced twice( I don't know why I even bothered the thing stunk to begin with), the bumper covers are warping, funky smell from the vents and the cheap chrome sticker that they call a grill is is peeling off. Volkswagon Touareg here I come.
Not a bad SUV, just bad timing
I purchased my 2004 TrailBlazer around a year ago and have put around 14,000 on it since. As of 43,000 miles there have been no real problems thus far. The engine I find is perfectly powered to deal with towing boats, trail riding, and on-ramp acceleration. I have only two complaints the 8" ground clearance when I am on trails or the beach (my girlfriends Rav 4 sits higher) and the whopping 18mpg on the highway. At $4.20 a gallon where I live its a beast keeping the tank full. As far as cornering, it's an SUV. What can you really expect.

Chevy has come a long way.
Since I have had my TrailBlazer I have had few problems. Vehicle has required only routine service. I am pleased with many things with my vehicle however it does leave things to be desired. This will be my last American made vehicle since the thing is only worth a fraction of what I paid for it considering it is in perfect used condition. This vehicle is built more like a 2000 then a 2004 lacking features other SUV's of the same year offer. The engine could have been a little more refined with a lot more power and better fuel economy. I was recently looking at the new 2008 TrailBlazer and Chevy has made some great improvements.
Overall Good Car
I bought this car and drove problem free for about five months then, at 63,000 miles the transmission went out. luckily the car was still under warranty (It would have cost me $3100). since this replacement in December 2008 I have had no major problems with the car. The Trailblazer is very comfortable and has plenty of power, even for towing light loads. The steering and engine are both very smooth feeling and make it pleasant to go on long trips across country. This car does very good in the snow and in very light off road applications. overall the gas mileage is good with about 20 on the freeway in town is 14 mpg.
trailblazer
It handles well in curves. I use to own a toyota 4runner but this vehicle handles better. I also like it being lower to the ground not so top heavy
