2021 Tahoe is Meh

2021 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4dr SUV 4WD (5.3L 8cyl 10A)

Bought an LT version. Thought this was the right mix of the new versus the old. I was wrong i paid 51K MRSP for a 1998 Tahoe with Bluetooth. This car is technically the same as my 2013 silverado but has a 10" screen in the dash. Big whoop, amazon sells a 10 inch tablet for under $200. Chevy is a bullshit company that only retreads 20-30yr old tech, if you can avoid this car. It is litterally the same as my moms 2005 tahoe. Maybe oneday tesla will come with a true famiy car, until then this is the best worst choice.

Awesome

2022 Chevrolet Tahoe RST 4dr SUV (5.3L 8cyl 10A)

My Tahoe doesnt have all of the bells and whistles of a Cadillac but it has enough to make me love this SUV. The RST has the 6.2l motor and drives like a much smaller vehicle. The seats are very comfortable and even better after a few thousand miles. My wife has been in smaller SUVs such as the Volvo XC90T8, LR discovery, Audi Q7 and others. She was hesitant to get a Tahoe because of its size and now she wont back back to a mid size SUV, says its much easier to drive than she expected.

Great Ride

2022 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier 4dr SUV 4WD (5.3L 8cyl 10A)

So far this is the best riding of 3 Tahoes I've owned (knock on wood). Ordered the Premier version rather than the High Country so I could get it with the 5.3L engine and the 20" wheels. Only complaint is that I had to pay the full MSRP but that's life. At least I didn't pay a surcharge.

Verry Cherry 21

Like my cellphone, this truck has more technology than I will ever need... that said, there is nothing about this Tahoe to complain about ( although I 'm not a fan of the auto-stop/start feature, which can be disabled by a dash switch temporarily ). Even though it has substantially higher mileage than a 2021 should have, it looks and feels fresh and crisp. I did add chrome protective trim moldings on both sides to save the door panels from parking lot punches. Mine has an integrated trailering package including a factory brake controller and multiple wiring harness connectors. Turns much tighter, and gets noticably better mileage, than the older Yukon it replaced, and the " cherry tint" paint is gorgeous in sunlight lol....

Perfect length, more room than previous years so didn't need to get the Suburban. Rides very smooth, not trucky like previous years. Perfect size touch screen, comfortable seats.

Nice, but it feels dated

In a vacuum, the Tahoe is a terrific vehicle with a great ride and tons of pulling power. The problem is, it has stiff competition. I just liked the fit, finish, features and ride of the Jeep Wagoneer better. The Tahoe LS is less expensive than the Wagoneer base model. But in an era of $6- a gallon gas, the Wagoneer was heavily discounted. Combining a dealer discount and two rebates, Jeep knocked off $9,000- from the sticker price, which brought down the Wagoneer Series II 2x4 to about $900.00 below the Tahoe. And, the Jeep can tow 10,000 lbs. It was just too hard to pass up. I bought the Jeep.

The new suspension is great, hardly feels like an off road vehicle. Tons of room for the kids & out door gear.

Tahoe lemon

The engine began to knock backfire and miss out at 5200 miles. Chevrolet put in new lifters, one new push rod and changed the oil. I am concerned that if the oil was contaminated there was most certainly other engine damage that may or may not show up untill after the warranty period. I was given a small front wheel drive loaner on the second day the Tahoe was in the shop for almost two weeks. The lack of adjustible pedals is very annoying. My wife has to drive with the seat so far forward that she quite often hits the light switch with her knee and turns on the lights when exiting the vehicle. Rear seat entertainment screens are totally useless. The only time they have been used at all was when the kids were able to turn off the navigation destination midways through a trip. This is our sixth new GM suv and will probably be the last.
