Great truck, bad motors
I purchased this truck with 38000 miles on it, at 48000 miles the motor had a catastrophic failure and needed to be rebuilt. This work was done at a Chevy dealership. At 78000 the rebuild failed and required me to purchase a whole new motor. Please note this truck is equipped with a 6.2L motor from the factory however you don’t give me that option

Truck was fine, transmission is crap
Bought it new in 2016, over the course of 157k miles it ate two transmissions. Neither of which would Chevrolet consider to be a manufacturer issue, so I paid out of pocket. Mileage was not very good, around 18 most of the time (and this is a two wheel drive). Power is reduced significantly from higher trim models with the same engine. Cost of ownership went way up having to buy transmissions. CarPlay would not boot up reliably. Maybe 10-15% of the time, it wouldn’t boot up at all. I would have to turn off the truck and wait 5 minutes before restarting to get it to load. Sounds petty, but I count on having hands free access for phone calls. Overall, Chevy can suck it. I won’t be buying anything from them new ever again.

Great truck
I bought this truck used with only 32K miles. It runs great but I am not a fan of the all-terrain Goodyear tires. I realize they came with the Z71 package, but I will probably buy standard replacement tires in another year or so. The tires are louder, a slightly rougher ride and lowers fuel economy. I will probably be thankful for them the few occasions I go off the asphalt, but most of my miles are highway. I love the Chevy design inside and out for this year. This is a solid and dependable truck as have been my two past Chevys...Suburbans. I have only had the truck 2 months, but so far no problems.

What happened to my Car Play!
so, I picked up my new Silverado 1500 and noticed while going through the truck that Airplay was missing. I asked the salesmen why didn't my truck on this since it was on of my requested features (also standard on my trim level). I was told that someone had ordered the truck without it and I would be able to bring it in the next day for an update. The next day I called to get an update. I was told that "due to supply issues my truck did not come with CarPlay that that GM "may" make it right some day. For now, I received a $200 credit.. $200? I wanted carplay.. I don't really care about the stupid credit.. GM.. Make it right please!

Luxury truck for me.....
It was a good buy for !
Just bought the truck
The front passenger seat is unconfortable as the back is flat and it puts your legs to sleep the way it was made. I have my husband stop after 100 miles or so, so I can get my back and legs in order. Can't afford a power seat so I can adjust it, so I guest I have to live with it. At the age of late 60s you people should remember not all people are young when they buy your trucks. Please change the seat for the next person as they could be Handycap like me. Love my truck! Would not buy anything else!

Horrible truck
I bought this 2016 lt z71 4x4 used with 30000 miles. At 40,000 miles the a/c went out. A problem (well known by gmc) with the condenser. Chevrolet wouldn’t recall the problem however offered minimal financial assistance for the repair. Now at 80000 miles, the transmission is shot. The only load I’ve ever pulled with this vehicle was a golf cart. This is another expensive repair at $3800. I’ve owned Chevrolet’s for 32 years but this 2016 will keep me from buying another. Before you buy a 2016 Silverado, do your homework. There’s trucks have multiple problems and none are an inexpensive fix.

Beware of the chevy shake
Overall the truck looks good and is well equipped. Great gas mileage with plenty of technology. The only disappointment is a constant shake that is distracting if you have anything in the center console. Otherwise no repairs needed after driving for a year with over 30,000 miles. One recall to date

Can’t say enough good!!!
Everything about this truck is awesome I have nothing to complain about whatsoever. It’s more efficient than my older ones. It’s reliable plenty of power on demand. All the electronics are intuitive and properly placed. Having the hillstart and he’ll dissent assist is awesome. Four-wheel-drive engage seamlessly.
