I bought my 99 Malibu for $400. I couldn't pass it up even though I read on here before I got it, and so far mine has had head gasket problems. It runs good and I think the v6 has enough power. The car was wrecked but put back together somewhat when I got it. Still needs paint job and windshield. The CD player plays when it wants too. Same with the sunroof, it's power and it doesn't wanna close all the time. Handles pretty good. Rust around the gas cap.

I got this car in December of 2015 from my grandparents. This car is in wonderful cosmetic shape. Mechanical on the other hand it did well for the first year and this winter things little pitty things started going wrong one by one, sensors here and there and then it started using coolant like crazy i was putting 1-2 bottles of antifreeze/coolant in the car then the heater quit working properly and the electrical has started messing up then last week the car blew a head gasket. The interior of the car had gray leather the seats in this car are very cheap feeling and have almost no support the only good thing about this car is that it has a great stock stero system and a very large trunk.

Nothing but trouble since I purchased car. Have replaced starter, gas tank removed for parts replacement due to leak, now shocks (struts) are sounding terrible. I'm getting rid of the lemon.

Bought it brand new, in less than 3 years and less than 26,000 miles, 3 tires are gone, the fourth is about to give up, one of the aluminum wheel has severe rust on it, the A/C will shut off by itself, sent it to dealership three times, but the problem has never been solved. The warranty is about to expire and GM is not willing to do anything about it, the only thing their customer service did is to ask me to send it back to the dealership again, nothing was said about the warranty.

Bought it new. Brakes & rotors have been changed twice. They almost stop working!! AC is marginal on very hot days & has quit working while on vacation in Florida. Dash lights sometimes do not work properly. Its pretty good for trips but have misgivings about reliablity.
