Used 2015 Chevrolet Equinox Consumer Reviews
Watch your pvc valve
It’s a known issue that the pcv valve in the 2.4L clogs up on this car. The first symptom is excessive oil consumption and eventually leads to blowing out the main seal like it did on my car at around 105k miles. It blows out because the valve doesn’t relieve the crankcase pressure as it should. $2400 to fix as they had to pull the whole engine. 2.4L is way underpowered. Don’t expect to pass anyone...ever. Seats could use more lumbar support but good room for a big guy like me. Nice room in the back. I think the newer ones have less storage space behind the back seats.

Horrible mold
My car continues to have water leaks. I have had it repaired 5 times now. They get the mold out and replace the carpet. Never ending battle........No more Equinox's for me!

My Equinox has been a very reliaible vehicle
I wanted a new Trail Blazer in 2015, but they were discontinued in 2009. Therefore, I traded my 2005 Trail Blazer on a 2015 Equinox. It has been a great value. My equinox still has the original battery.
so far so good
after 4 years with my chevy my experience has been very good, I am one of the people who really does not respect the dates of car services, I have simply never been to a mechanic. I change the engine oil myself. the only problem i have had was the code (p0011) that can cause your car's engine to turn off or lose a lot of power and i solved it by changing the engine oil and Intake & Exhaust Camshaft Solenoids ($27 on amazon). you should know that this chevy is a more or less large vehicle and the engine is 4 cylinders which causes it to be a slow vehicle... otherwise I am very satisfied with my car so far

Very Happy So Far
We've only had this car for less than 1 month, but have been extremely happy with it, so far. We even took it on a road trip to Florida, and it was so comfortable and got good gas mileage! We were looking for a car that would comfortably hold 4-5 adult passengers, especially 2-3 in the back seat. This was the only one we drove in our price range (under $20K) that was truly comfortable in the back seat. One more cool thing is that the back bench actually sides up towards the front seats, so if you need more cargo space, it gives you about 6-8" more room. This would also put a baby in a car seat much closer to the driver and/or front passenger, to reach them better. We hope to keep this car for many years!
