Used 2005 Chevrolet Equinox Consumer Reviews
Great SUV with few minor issues
I bought this car back at the end of 2006 and it has proven to be a great SUV. For an SUV, it gets good gas mileage. I drive over 100 miles a day (highway and city) and get about 23 miles per gallon. I have had no major issues other than the normal brake pad changes, new tires and oil changes which you can expect on a vehicle that went from 24K miles to 74K miles in 2 years! I would recommend this car to everyone, good for the price.
Disappointing!
I fell in love with the sleek style, beautiful on the outside..but that's as far as it goes! After having this vehicle for 2 weeks I began experiencing problems my car wouldn't start! It would turn over but wouldn't start completely then stall out. I took it to the dealership and they "couldn't figure it out" 6 visits/7 months later they still don't know what's wrong? The worst part about it-the fact that in my most recent visit the was one towed there another sitting there waiting to get fixed with that same problem as mine! Besides the starting issue, my car will not reverse,breaks/roters grind(didn't need to be replaced), car dings even when keys aren't in the ignition!

So far so good
It's easy to change the oil, which was impossible on my wife's GEO Prism. I have taken it on several 2000 mile fishing trips to Canada, Minnesota - it's easy to load, easy to drive, visibility and clearance like a pick up truck but has better speed. Disappointing gas mileage. For some reason, I've had to replace several headlamps. Currently one is clearly full of condensation and will probably fail soon. I'd get another, if newer models can get better gas mileage.
Chevy
The Chevy Equinox is a stylish and comfortable ride with an affordable price tag. By far one of the best on the market.
I love this vehicle!
Very nice to drive. Gas mileage is a little dissapointing, but could be a lot worse. Lots of cargo room, with a shelf in trunk that is rubber on one side (for tailgating parties, grocery, etc) and shelf can be propped up to hang groceries and create more cargo space.
