Used 2005 Chevrolet Equinox Consumer Reviews
Counting the days till I return!
This was the first GM car I have ever bought and it will be the last. I had to replace the struts and strut mounts as well as the front axle at 14,000 miles. The front brakes and rotors at 35,000 and the rear brakes have been deglazed 3 times the first was at 10,000 miles. The car is so loud, you hear ever bump in the road. The car handles horribly and does not feel safe. The only thing I am happy about is that I did not purchase the vehicle instead I used the smart buy program and I will be returning it early in December. The worst part is GM knows the issues with the safety of the car an ignores them.
Absolutely Great Vehicle for 4 years now
I am still amazed when I see any negative comments about this car. It has been an outstanding vehicle for me. I wonder how the Lexus owners that spent double feel when people were staring at the great looks of my car!!! 4 years now and no problems. (A gas cap and some tires) It is as fun to drive as the Mercedes 300E I once owned. The back seat leg room is my favorite feature. My 6ft tall kids love it. Very roomy, great ride and handling and has been reliable. I don't think I could have bought better.

Equinox - could be better
I like the vehicle overall, it is fun to drive, looks good and the quality of construction is very good. The vehicle is a good size and has plenty of power. It rides well for an SUV and the AWD works excellent in snow. Head and leg room are good and the engine and transmission provide a nice smooth acceleration and power band.
Great SUV without the Price
Great things about this "small SUV" include great response in steering, quick and agile like a car (comparible to the Impala which I have also owned), and great styling, especially from looking head on.
Amazing
You should buy one, awesome
