Only Good for 5 Years

I loved this car when I bought it in 2004. It handled well in the snow. It was more like a truck, but it did the job. Unfortunately at about 65,000 miles, major things started to go wrong. The sway bar links,(which had to be replaced when I bought the car), had to be replaced- close to $900. Then, two head gaskets had to be replaced at about 69,000 miles- $850. Finally, the car began dying sporadically without explanation. There was an electrical problem, but Chevy would not acknowledge it. They began replacing things at random, only to have the car die again. Loved it at first, but traded it for a Subaru. Chevy claimed 70,000 miles was high mileage. I can't afford to own that type of car.

After 50,000 miles it's been a great car. The overall performance has been better than expected for the price. Very good on the interstate or the backwoods.

Bum Equinox

I loved my car from the moment I bought it but shortly after the problems started. It would start about 50% of the time and I had it in the shop several times before it was discovered that the fuel pump system had faulty parts. Recently the wiring system has become faulty and is blowing fuses to the point that my car literally dies! The trade in value is horrible and the gas mileage is nothing to brag about.

I wish it had rims not plastic hub caps

Overall I really enjoy my new SUV but for the price I paid I should have gotten rims and not plastic hub caps. It makes the SUV look cheap. I have to pay the extra expense to put new rims and tires on it. Also one big flaw it has I had my vehicle for two days and my little sister who is 9 years old got into the back and shut the door and got her seat belt on. I heard some air and had my sister who is 33 who was sitting up front in the passenger seat check her door and then she looked in the side mirrow and noticed it was my sisters door, then I had realized that my new vehicle did not have the system for the doors, only the back hatch light up when a door is ajar. They need to fix that.

I read all these reviews and I cant even sit here and say wow that doesnt happen to mine. From the struts going when i first had it, how uncomfortable it is, cheap interior, can't stand the window controls, noisy ride, terrible on gas I dont even get 200 miles a full tank. Im constantly at the dealership. Overall I just hate this car. It was my first ride i loved the look of it but after driving it for a while I'm 19 with back problems already. The only thing good about this car is it handles great in the snow. All they need to do is fix up all of its problems which it would end up being a totally new car and it would be a nice ride.
