Pros- Great looks. Very comfortable ride. Off-road ready. Lots of up to date tech. Great sound system. Cons- very poor build quality. Dash rattles over every bump. Hood Scoops adhesive peeling off. Doors are misaligned. Leaking cv axle boots at 200 miles. Main Screen and gauge cluster randomly go blank.

Glacier Blue ZR2

I traded a 2016 Ram Rebel for my 2024 Colorado ZR2. It includes the safety, technology, and towing packages. I do not have the Bose sound system or Convenience Group III that includes leather seats. I was a doubter when it came to the 2.7L, 4 cylinder engine. While I miss the sound of a HEMI V8, I have not been disappointed with the power available for daily driving, hauling and towing. The interior is comfortable and at 6' tall, I could comfortably sit in the back seat with the front in my normal driving position. The Multimatic DSSV shocks give this truck a great driving personality. It is firm with no unnecessary body movements. It's a smooth highway cruiser and the adaptive cruise control further improves long-range trips. Several offroad and towing modes improve the driving experience. The 4wd Auto mode adds confidence for wet and snowy roads. Electronic locking differentials (front and rear) engage quickly and make this truck nearly unstoppable on the trail. I couldn't justify the cost and compromises of the Bison edition, but that truck takes off roading to a level most drivers aren't capable of using. The camera system is clear offering front, rear and surround views (I don't have the underbody cameras). The cameras remain on as long as you need them at any speed unlike some systems that automatically cut out after a few seconds at higher speeds. All said, this is a fun, distinctive truck gets its fair share of thumbs up.

Impressive Truck

2024 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (2.7L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

This truck has exceeded my expectations. This is my first small truck, having previously owned several full sized pickups. I was especially concerned that the engine would not provide the performance of the V8’s in my previous trucks. I have been pleasantly surprised. The interior has been upgraded considerably. However, unless you have need of the higher performance suspension that comes with the Z71 option, I would opt out of this choice as it is considerably stiffer than that of the full-size pickup which presents a harsher ride. Finally, there is considerably more cabin noise in this vehicle when compared to my previous full size pickup.

Defective right from Cheverolet

Purchased a brand new ZR2 with 3 mikes on the odometer. Had to return the truck to the dealer within a couple of days and 200 miles due to a significant oil leak. Turns out to be a failed rear main seal where it ahs been sitting due to the dealers complete disinterest in taking care of the issue is approaching 3 weeks. After searching Colorad forums, turns out this, although not common, something that it happening to others. Buyer beware!

Looks amazing, very uncomfortable

2024 Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (2.7L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

Pros: I love the looks of my 24 Colorado Trail Boss. They look mean. The interior is OK, I like the larger infotainment screen and ability to choose the driver's cluster arrangement. Plenty of power, nice ride, quiet ride. Decent sound system. Cons: the cloth seats are horribly uncomfortable. Worst seats I have ever sat in. They hurt my thighs when on short trips and completely destroy them on long trips. I believe they are made for young people who weigh in at a buck ten. Then there's the auto dimming headlights, these things are super sensitive. They are constantly switching from dim to bright even when there aren't any vehicles in front of me. Adaptive cruise is great but there are times that it thinks oncoming traffic is coming at he and will slow me down. My hood also moves alot. Especially when it's windy or I meat a semi. Meeting a semi whilst it's windy... Oh my gosh look out. Needless to say I regret my decision to trade in my 18 Silverado on this thing and I've only owned it for about 4 weeks.
