I work at a Chevy dealership. I was able to get employee pricing as well. For a 2WD, 4 Cyl, crew cab for 30K….MSRP was over 35K (still a lot, but decent nowadays for a truck) this is all I need. I’m over 6 feet tall and can get in/out very easily. No steps needed. The ride is average but I don’t need plush. I’ve driven both the 4 and 6 cylinders and to be honest, around town they are the same. The 4 cylinder has 4.10 gears so it feels peppy. The difference is when they are floored, the 6 cyl pulls harder around 5-6k rpm. That’s it. I average 23-24 mpg. My family fits. I don’t tow. Just trips to hardware stores, Costco, occasional piece of furniture. I live in southeast flat Texas no 4wd needed here. I could drive a big fancy Silverado but, again this has all I need and nothing I don’t. I did get the leather seats, projector headlight package, argent wheels (highly recommend all). Super easy to drive and turning radius is just amazing. Don’t expect the latest and greatest. This is the last year of this body style it just had slight refreshes to kept it updated. I wanted this because all kinks have been sorted. New body style looks incredible but they will (as all new body styles do) have problems. No turbo problems either to worry about with the old model. Just a regular truck with a nice screen I plug my phone into for apple carplay. If you tow or simply want a little more power get the v6. If you need 4wd, then get 4wd. I had equity from my trade in so this will be paid off in about 3 years now, hope to keep for awhile and get my monies worth. These colorados, even 4 cyl, hold their value. Not as good as a Tacoma but pretty good. If this sounds like what you are looking for, go test drive one. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED!!!

I bought my Colorado in September 2022. Within 300 miles I noted a noise a different speed ranges. I was told it was because it has oversized tires. I took it in at almost 700 miles and it was found to have a bad differential. After 35 days in the shop it was finally fixed, but now I have new noises beginning. The climate controls are goofy. When you turn it on to automatic you can not turn it off by simply pressing the same button. You can not permanently turn off the park assist option. The headlights do not properly illuminate the road at night. The tilt/telescoping wheel is hard to move and does not have much range. The interior lights are slow to come on when you open the door and do not illuminate the inside of the truck well. Cup holders are to small for larger drinks. The truck does not accelerate well, very sluggish. Braking is also a concern at higher speeds. I traded in a 2005 Silverado with almost 160,000 miles on it and I regret it.

Took mine off the lot 1 week ago with 12 miles on it. I enjoy the drivers side leg room (I am 6'7" and I can extend my legs and have plenty of head room). I have taken it to and from work averaging about 23 MPG. For a truck that is amazing in my opinion. On issue I have with my truck is it does not have the push button start feature. So far great truck. Especially for tall people.

Just shy of 4000 hard miles in, and I am loving it. With the addition of an aftermarket tonneau cover, I'm averaging around 22 mpg even accounting for the fact that I commute over a small mountain range, the short bed is more than sufficient for the hand tools I need to lug about, and it's handled all the offroad situations I've put it through like a champ. Handling and ride are generally quite good for a truck, which is appreciated on the long commutes to work, and it's electronic power steering provides much better feedback and sense of connection to the road than most other electronic power steering setups I've experienced. The automatic transmission can be sluggish, especially when cold, but the V6 engine itself has a lot of get up and go. My only major gripe is that visibility is quite poor out the back, and the mirrors are pitifully inadequate, being quite small, and featuring an absolutely miniscule blindspot mirror on the driver's side only that does a very good job of showing you what's in one lane too far, and a very poor job of showing you what's in your blind spot. Looking over your shoulder when making lane changes is an absolute necessity. It might not be as luxurious as its competitors, but frankly, that is a very small price to pay for best in class towing, a very solid payload, good bed space, comfortable handling, and very reasonable fuel economy. It also has quite literally the only infotainment system I've met that I actually like, providing excellent ease of use, a wide array of features, and minimal distractions.
