Used 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Consumer Reviews
Midsize comfort
I was a full-size truck owner looking for something a bit smaller and easier on gas. The Colorado fits the bill. Much easier to park in the Walmart parking lot not to mention my garage. The box might be small for some people but I can get at the things in the back without climbing in. I pull a double ATV trailer and a utility trailer with ease. The 4000# load range is more than enough for my needs. The cab has room enough for four adults and is much more comfortable than my 2002 extended cab GMC Seirra.
It's about time
This was my first truck purchase and I wasn't disappointed. The Z71 package provides a stiff ride, which reminds me that I'm in a truck. I get better gas mileage that my previous two SUVs. The truck is the perfect size. The baby seat fits in the rear seat, and I have no problem with parking (even in downtown Chicago). Overall, I would recommend this truck to anyone.

Great overall truck
If you are looking for a combination of power and fuel economy, this is the one. Absolutely tight and well executed.
My first Chevy
Truck is two months old. Appears to be well build, and is very fun to drive. Engine and drive train are very smooth and have plenty of power (although a bit noisy when you get on it). Rear seat backs severly limit visability. Seats need to be more supportive and less firm. Other than those issues, I love it so far. Great curb appeal too!
'04 Colorado
Overall a great truck for someone who doesn't routinely need a large hauling or towing capacity. I've taken several trips over 300 miles and the ride was always comfortable. Plenty of power, smooth shifting, easy on the fly transfer from 2WD to 4WD. Z71 package has a nice ride with good steering input. Holds the road well. 4WD and suspension gives plenty of grip and stability over rough terrain. Very good gas mileage. I average about 20 mpg (23- 24 on mostly highway trips, worst was 17 mpg for a tank but that was almost all stop and go short trips in cold weather). Back seats are only good for small people / short trips.
