2004 Cavalier
I just bought this vehicle a couple weeks ago. My Cavalier replaced a 1997 Geo Prism. I went for all the luxury available. I love it! Very comfortable and affordable for a car in it's class!
My 2004 Cavalier
This is the fourth Cavalier I have owned. It has nice outside lines and roomy trunk. The fold down back seat will be useful. I wish the car was wider and mor comfortable for back seat passengers.

Smart choice
Just looking for a cheap transportation, I am suprised what I can get for the money.
My first new car
Wasn't a real big fan of the cavalier but really enjoying the car
I love my Cavalier
I actually volunteer to drive on roadtrips wiht this car. It's fun to drive and with the rising gas prices, it is very efficient.
great car for a 4cyl
i think its a great little car for a 4 cyl..alot of get up and go...the cup holders could be in another space... a very smooth ride..BUT the engine sounds kinda loud..but i love the car..but i'm happy with it
consumer
this car has a quick and responsive engine and it very quiet and smooth. i am very impressed with my stereo system which is a cd player. the cars a/c unit cools off very quickly. this car is a great buy and this one that i now have is my 5th one i love them. they are a beautiful car.
David's cavalire
We went to the dealership to buy an Impala, and drove the cavaoier and loved it. We also own a 1997 cavalier. Great car, great car, and Don Ringler is a great Dealership to do bussiness with.
my 2004 cavalier
i purchased my 2004 cavalier in december 2003. i really like the styling of my car and the dependability.the downside to my car is the stiff and bumpy ride. and the interior design is somewhat hampering. especially the cup holders and heating and air conditioning controls. controls are too low on the dash. and are hard to reach. especially if you are using the cup holders.
Chevrolet Caviler 4 Door Sedan
I think that this is a pretty good car for the price. It has a very powerful and responsive ECOTEC 2.2 V4, and is very reliable in getting from here to there. I think that they need to expand their ideas on the interior design because a lot of things in the interior are made from flimsy material.
chevy cavalier
The vehicle is cramped inside and when My wife and I get out it seems like the shocks can't handle our weight and makes an awful sound. I took it back to dealer they fixed something but it still makes an awful sound when exiting. It simply is to small a vehicle.
Fun drive
This car is fun to drive. You can throw it around. You won't beat too many in a 1/4 mile race, but the highway driving experience is a blast.
Nice Car
Car rides very good. Interior is very good. Abnormal wind noise when driveing with window down. Console rubs my leg a little. Other than that, I like it very much.
NICE LOOKING
Bought the car in 2003, started hearing the wind from the driver's side, took it to a dealer they said it was the door. They wouldn't fix it because we didn;t buy it from there. over all, it is a nice car, we got a great deal on it. Gas milage is not as Vhevy claimed, only makes about 23-26 range not 34MPG. Low profile tires made it so attached to the ground and handles better. a little loud engine from inside, not as bad from the outside.
2001 - 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier is great!
The Chevrolet Cavalier we purchased is being used for our driving school in Columbia, SC. We have driven the first car for one year and put 50,000 miles without any repairs. We have found that it is extremely agile and the handling is terrific ( new drivers can be a challenge to teach even in a well handling car). We have gotten 32 MPG as an average through the first year and now have about 92000 miles on the first car. We just purchased another Cavalier to expand our business and plan to buy another before the end of the year.
Good Car for the Price!!
I had already owned a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier which I used for work and travel. I NEVER had any problems with my '91, in fact it had 245,000+ miles when I purchased a 2004 LS Sport, which I like very much! Plus I got a great deal on it..from $19,395 to 13,300!! On a recent trip, 5 of us fix just right, and all our stuff fit in it's big trunk. I hope this model lasts as long and the other. Once a Chevy owner-- always a Chevy owner!!
Buy one
Had mine for 6 months. Ride is very good. Acceleration better than expected. 22 mpg around town. A/C works super (florida). Has most wanted accesories, standard (LS series). Downgrade this car for wind noise when window is open. Excellant radio, with sub woofer std. With todays discounts this is a super bargain.
AWESOME CAR!!!!
I looked at several cars before going with the Cavalier! It is a great car!! It is fun to drive and it gets great gas mileage!!
Great Auto
A fun car to drive for this 73 year old man
Superb
The Accelartion is excellent for me as i am a first time buyer and the price is completely unbeatable. The style of the car is also very cool for younger people and so far the car has been very reliable.
2004 Chevrolet Cavalier
This is our 4th Cavalier. Obviously, we are very happy with them.
I love my car!
I bought my 04 cavalier about 2 months ago. I couldnt be happier with it! I have always liked the cavaliers. I will never own anything but a chevy! If you buy a cavalier be prepared to be amazed!
Stay out of the wind
I bought the 2004 Cavalier strictly as an economical "drive to work" car. I liked the low price with the rebates and the looks aren't bad. However, when on the highway if there is any cross wind you can't keep it on the road. It will change lanes by itself if you don't pay close attention. Also, what 1950's design engineer came up with the bright idea of using a cartridge oil filter instead of the spin on type? I can see why the 2005 model is the last year for Cavalier.
Best car for the money!!
Best car I have owned to date, very reliable! Can't wait to drive it again!!
Great bang for the buck
I purchased this car for a short commute to work, however I have taken it on vacation, and it performed quite well. Sometimes I think the high- falutin car critics, are just a bit too critical of American cars. My Cavalier is reliable, peppy, and a good looking car. I'm happy with it, and I don't care what anyone else says. My next vehicle will probably be a Chevrolet.
A Good Value to Date
I purchased my Cavalier new in 2004. I felt the GM discount price incentive was too good to pass up. I used part of the discount to purchase 160,000 km powertrain warranty. I now have 30,000 kms on the car, have had no problems and am quite satisfied with my purchase for the money.
the best fuel ecomony car
I think this car is a good little car. I have no problems with the car. In town I get 25 - 27 mpg and on the highway I get 34 miles to a gallon. The gas tank takes 25 dollars to fill it from empty when gas price is $2.15 a gallon.
My '04 Cavi
This hasn't been too bad of a car. Although, I dont think I get the mileage others do. The best I have gotten is 29 mpg on the interstate. I have had it in the shop 5 times for front end noise in less than a year. But I like the style, and for a 2.2 it has decent power.
Bang for your buck
Sporty looking, good car for a cheap price. Cheap and easy to maintain. Sound system is nice with Mp3 and XM. Slave cylinder went at 45,000k, but pretty good overall. Tops out at 107, so it's pretty fast
A Couple of Problems
I have had my car for about 2 1/2 years, its been pretty dependable for the price, but I have had some issues with the gauges. My RPM gauge stopped working first, followed by my fuel gauge, and now my speedometer is starting to work on-and-off like the others did before they stopped working. I haven't bothered to get them fixed because I'm about to trade it in, but I wasn't too happy about that. However, it's a great starter car.
Disappointed
I bought this car in a hurry because my last vehicle was totaled in an accident, and I needed something to get back and forth to work. I've always heard how "great" Cavaliers were so I took a chance on a GM car. Never again! Everytime I turn around the "service" or "check engine" light is on. The car has only 40,000 miles on it and I've spent thousands on things that I don't think should've gone out already. Oh well, I guess it's back to buying an import.
My Chevy Cavalier
My car got great gas mileage. It did ok in snow and mud. When I got 69,000 miles my car was making noises when I started it. It was my lower motor knocking, to mechanics it made no sense it was a flexplate and overhaul on my motor. So my conclusion is they do good until 69,000 miles.
Our Baby
My husband and I have had our Cavalier only a few months and have been very pleased with it. It is very fun to drive and we love the way it looks. We have read the other reviews and do not agree with everything that is said about the Cavalier. With todays gas prices it is a very economical car.
Great car for all
My wife And I purchased this car during a snowy wet cold Tuesday night in January. We (and about 5 salesmen) were the only people in the dealership. Bottom line, we stole this gem for around $8900.00 +tax. We had rebates and a $2000.00 coupon. The car is great on gas, 30mpg. We use it for work and a back-up. The interior is a little cramped when all 4 of us are in it. It looks just as good as the day we bought it . We garage it and are meticulous with the care of it. The front would shake during stopping and the wheel covers were squeaking. A quick trip to the dealer to cut the rotors and grease the contact points of were the rubber bumpers contacted the metal and we were good to go.
great car for the money
I really like the car.the power i get from a 2.2L engine is amazing.my friend owns a 1997 with 4 kids which still is in great shape, turning me toward the cavalier.I would recoment this car to anyone wanting a semi-sporty car with a limited budget.
Chevy show off
When I first saw the car I was not to impress but once I got a chance to drive it I knew I would buy it. It is fun to drive, comfortable to get in and out and has good style on the inside. The instrument cluster is set up to be easy to view and to get to.
I love it
It is a great car for the price and it is quick and small so you get places fast

LUV MY CAV!
It's been a very dependable car.
Good Decision
My husband and I just bought the car earlier this month but we researched it a lot prior to buying it and test drove many cars before making our decision. So far I am really enjoying it and we are very pleased with it.
