2019 Bmw M5
Okay well, the M5 is a a beautiful car, in my opinion it scored a 10/10 in every aspect. I don’t why the other reviews said it lack in Luxary compared to its competitors, like what? It’s a BMW they are number one in the game. Don’t listen to everyone they're high as a Kit. That’s all I wanted to say. If you read this I love you. Hahaha

Sedan with speed
A great sedan when we take the kids but a sports car otherwise. Amazing acceleration and the options are over the top. Paid a bit of premium for the non standard exterior color

Brilliant Combination Track Car / Everyday Driver
I really loved my '07 328xi - and the AWD was great for ski trips. But it was getting a bit long in the tooth and the F30 3 series left me cold. Then I discovered the new M5 and ordered a 2019. This car is brilliant - more power than I'll ever need (but like having it anyway), handles and drives wonderfully, is a fantastic long distance cruiser, and with the addition of a set of all season tires I can drive it year around and take it skiing. Open road, I get around 25 mpg - which is about the same as the 328xi got - and I don't drive it slow. Latest update Aug 2021: Now that it's properly broken in, it just gets better and I'm actually getting somewhat better gas mileage than I did with the 328xi (about 10% better). Not bad considering it's a larger, heavier car with over two and half times the horsepower!

F90 - stilll the answer to what ails you
The BMW F90 M5 is an amazing vehicle with both luxury and performance. It is a two in one vehicle, which is good as it costs as much as two vehicles. It is a true apex predator on the road with quickness, speed and handling ... and the ability to embarrass drivers of vehicles with many more thousands in price or many more horsepower. It is a challenge to remain within speed limit … with a simple touch of the pedal putting you in to triple digits in a hot second. It handles well, and it only takes the touch of one of the M-buttons to shift from a relatively smooth and quiet prowl, to an outright ludicrous beast. The power is linear through the band, and it just keeps giving more ... like a freight train. The technology in the M5 is top notch, and the new iDrive works very smoothly and intuitively … but it does have moments where it refuses to connect to the phone and the Bluetooth and/or vehicle needs to be restarted to connect. The menu preview in the screens is a great improvement. The B&W sound system is brilliant, and a must have option. In the past I felt the B&O system in the Audi S8 set the bar … but I now realize I was wrong. The CC brakes are powerful and take a bit to get used too. They can be annoyingly loud when wet, but goes away after they dry. The full merino leather is wonderfully soft and smooth, but is sensitive to mar and dents - requiring more care.

Retirement present to myself
After years of driving a BMW 528 and Porsches to work I spoiled myself. This is a fantastic road car and I love the soft close doors and massaging seats. It has a tremendous amount of power up in the mountains and handles like it is on rails. This car exceeds what I thought it would be like. This is a race car disguised as a luxury car!

Sometimes in life things ARE worth the $!
Yeah, a “bucket list” purchase- never thought I’d be able to own one, and it delivers almost 100%! So fun to drive, so secure. The i drive system is in my opinion the most intuitive and least intrusive. Not having to reach and touch a screen is great. I can pick some nits, tho: there are too many settingswith no real difference. I put it it comfort and let it go. The seats are “ventilated” but not cooled, and the massage function is weak. But these things are greatly outweighed by the decent fuel economy, the great range afforded by a big gas tank, a pacing cruise control that is very convenient, and a feature that lets you drive hands free for short periods. Surprising how just this little pause from holding the wheel is so refreshing on a long trip. Every car manufacturer today bundles the good stuff in a manner that you have to pay a lot and get a bunch of stuff you may not want however i do think in this case it was money well spent. The carbon brakes were horribly expensive and are very grabby until warmed up a lot, but they never show surface rust, keep the wheels clean, and stop better than expected. And all this tech probably saved my life and definitely the deer’s life that was in the middle of I75 at 0400 by allowing me to avoid it. It jostled my wife who was asleep in the back quite a bit tho.

One bad motorscooter
Traded in my 2017 Challenger Hellcat on this 2018 M5 so I have some experience with ultra high performance cars. Here in Denver the Hellcat was a nightmare when the temps were below 60. The M5 has all wheel drive so the power delivery is so much more controlled. I wouldn't want to drive the M5 in the snow but when the temps are low and roads are dry it makes you feel like you're totally in control. The M5 is a little smaller and has four doors so you can put people or groceries in the back seat and not just your racing helmet. Interior materials and comfort are better and the sterio is way better. It's been a year since I posted this review and since then I hit a deer in Kansas last summer. It was a tremendous impact causing 25K in damage but the car handle the impact incredibly well. Was doing about 65 MPH at the time but the car continued straight as an arrow. Not even a hint of loss of control. Unfortunatly, the deer didn't fare as well. There still was a piece of it hanging off the car when I sent it to the body shop.

One quick ride
The car provides a very high level of performance, decent fuel economy, and a whole Lotta fun. I’ve driven at 500 miles and averaged just under 20 miles per gallon. Not bad for over 600 hp.

Best of 180 vehicles
It is very quick and comfortable and never one problem. I owned it longer than any other vehicle in my lifetime and is the only one that I purchased a set of tires for in the past 45 years.

The car I always dreamed about
I have always liked the idea of a sleeper, super car. When this car got 4 wheel drive, I knew I had to get one. This car is fully loaded and cannot be beat for reliability, class, acceleration, sound, handling, technology and fuel economy in a 600 horsepower engine. It even has massaging and cooling and heating front seats. Plus it can fit 4 adults and luggage in the trunk. If you consider that BMW dealerships are everywhere, you can get this beast fixed anywhere. This is what makes it really cool too

Everything I expected and more
I traded in my '13 M5 with 75k miles for a '19 M5 Competition with less than 5k miles. The difference is stunning. Acceleration, handling, and driving characteristics are vastly improved. Much of which I attribute to the excellent and adaptive AWD system. An excellent daily driver and weekend beast. The optional Bowers & Wilkens audio system is magnificent and also an improvement over the the B&O system of the past.

Epitome of the Ultimate Driving Machine
We've had ours for 2 years and 14K miles. Fantastic driving machine with linear power, excellent handling (have spent 2 days in one at the BMW M driving school in SC and it did great on the track). It is confidence inspiring with its 4WD propulsion. Paddle shifts are quick, Love the carbon fiber roof on ours. The seats are extremely adjustable and comfortable with heating and cooling. The HK sound system is good, better than the Burmesters we have in 2 Mercedes. And on top of all that it is practical with a large trunk and functional rear seats.

Excellent everyday driver with power
I love this car. My daily drivers were a Porsche 911Turbo and Audi R8. I sold my beloved and dependable Porsche, as the warranty was expiring, and leased a 2019 M5 and I love the M5 too! Power with luxury and fun to daily drive. I highly recommend this “athlete in a three-piece suit!”
