Great all purpose car. Took my family of 5, with fold up table, benches, food and presents to a family Christmas party 2 hours away. No complaints from the women in the back (though all are petite) and we topped out at 100mph on some stretches. Trunk is huge. Eats golf bags and gun cases. Car was completely optioned out, including dynamic handling which helps a lot (I had the previous generation 550 GT w/ out). Don't miss the V8 as the 6 is plenty, and much better mileage which is important given the gas tank is so small (18g). The self steering mode is only ok, as it constantly seeks out the edge of the road, giving the car a little weave. The lane departure system wrestles you if the blinker isn't used, which makes sense but is tedious so its off most of the time. Interior light system is only fun to play with once. M package is very sporty looking, gets lots of complements. Pretty cool car. Recommended.

Your Ultimate Highway Cruiser with personality
6 GT is a mixture of 5 series cabin, 7 series roominess, X5 practility under the 6 series Coupe nameplate. Driving comfort is superb with 4 corner air ride. The whole car glides over road imperfections without disturbing you. The cabin is surprisingly quiet, giving the fact that it has frameless doors. The B58 inline-6 engine is more than enough thrust, in my mind this has better exhaust note (more bubbles and cracks) than 540i, possibly due to more ground clearance for exhaust system. For this much power the engine is very efficient, but you need to control your right foot fairly well. 6 GT's big size can't be disguised though. Expect some body rolls even with the dynamic handling package. Once you push the car over the body roll, it claws the road well, with traditional RWD dynamics. As a full-size, it's harder to park in city situations. The interior is exactly the same as 5 series, minus GT embroidered trim pieces, extra room, and frameless glass. Doesn't feel as much distinction as this car needs. Nevertheless, the materials and build quality is superb. Harman Kardon sound is barely average in this segment. I have owned mine for 6 months and I give overall 8.5/10. This is a luxury vehicle with ample power, rarity, and personality. If you like 5/7 series or X5 but want something different, this is for you.
