Great car and fun to drive.
My last car was an A4 so I already liked the Audi brand and driving the A5 was even more fun. Plus the attention to details inside the vehicle are great. Love the virtual dash. Wish that there was more storage in the vehicle and I liked how the older Audi’s had SD card slots for music, but still very happy with my purchase.

Why did they do this??
I previously owned the 2013 version of this car, which was fantastic. I upgraded to the 2018 and have been asking myself ever since, "why did they do that?". First the good news: the acceleration is a little quicker than the 2013 and the convertible roof operates slightly faster. The new back window is very nice and top notch for a convertible. The new instrument cluster is very nice and very easy to configure. The speakerphone is much better and now very nice to use. Now the bad news: they downgraded the transmission from the super-smooth 8-speed that came with the 2013 and replaced it with a 7-speed that, while quick, is nowhere near as smooth. The GPS now uses primarily voice commands, or at least it tries to. The results would be humorous if they were not entirely frustrating. Resorting to manual entry is cumbersome as Audi, for some reason, made this much more difficult. DO NOT pay the extra for the navigation system. They also moved the cup holders much further forward so as to be nearly out of reach. And they are tucked under the dashboard slightly so that tall water bottles, for example, no longer fit. Why Audi, why? The gas tank fills very slowly and shuts off the auto-fill at most pumps. Again, this worked just fine in 2013. The roof rattles where it meets the driver side window. It took several years for the 2013 to start to do this. The 2018 took just a couple of months to start. The driver side window usually goes all the way up when you shut the door but sometime it stays open a little so you have to pull the switch to raise it all the way. The glove box has gotten even smaller. The settings for the heated/cooled seats are less intuitive. The door pockets are smaller. Why are you shrinking, Audi? You can upgrade the wheels but if you do you can only get them with summer tires. Up north here that's fun for a while but within a couple of months you will need to buy something for all four seasons. This is such an odd restriction. The false triggers from the accident avoidance system are annoying and much more frequent than you would think. Prepare to have the car suddenly slam on the brakes as you back down your driveway if there is a car crossing behind you. Finally there is the gear shifter. What were they thinking?? You push it forward to go in reverse. You pull it back to go forward. You press a small button to put it in park. This is progress? Now, after a couple of years, the car is constantly displaying warnings that I need to replace the brake pads. This in spite of the fact that it has fewer than 20k miles and the most recent service at the dealer showed that they are still like new. Overall, still a nice car but this is easily the most frustrating vehicle I have owned.

Awesome 2023 A5 Audi Sportback
The styling and performance of this Premium Plus Audi are outstanding. This low sitting sedan is a sports car in disguise and gets lots of attention wherever I go. This is my second Audi, after primarily driving BMW, MBENZ, Porsche, and Corvettes. I am very impressed with this car. I might be an Audi fan for life after owning and driving this A5 Sportback!

My Audi
I just purchased a barely used 2019 Audi A5 and love it. The color is Navarro metallic blue. It is beautiful! One of the best things is that the warranty is great. I have 4 years unlimited miles. I love the pick up of this little 4 cylinder, the looks, style, as well as the interior. So far, I haven’t found any negative points on this car.

2018 Audi A5 Hatchback Rocks
Great car. Virtual Cockpit makes viewing map guidance a breeze. Bank & Olufsen radio rocks. MMI navigation is intuitive to learn. Only took a day or two to get the hang of the system. Considered an A-4, but decided on the A5 hatchback because of the increased versatility and giant cargo space compared to the sedan. The extra cost of an A5 over an A4 is well worth it.
