Fun but not for long
I received my 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec on August 6, of 2024. I love how the car looks, how it drives and handles, and the red interior is super nice and comfortable, but that’s about it. After only 17 days of owning it, the vehicle left me, my wife and 2 month old son stranded in the middle of the road after losing power on a casual drive home from dinner. I had 64% of charge when the incident happened. After hearing a weird noise coming from the rear end of the car, the vehicle started slowing down abruptly and a whole bunch of lights popped up on my dash. The car wouldn’t go on drive or reverse, only neutral or park, so I had to put the car on neutral and push it to the side on the road. I was very upset at what happened. Honda Roadside came and towed the vehicle to the dealership and me and my family had to take an Uber home. After 3 days of the car being at the dealership, the service rep calls me and tells me that the codes were cleared and a system update was performed and they will test drive the car to make sure everything was good before I pick it up. A week passed and I didn’t hear back from the dealership, so I started to wonder what was going on and called them up. When I got a hold of the service rep, I was told that while the Acura tech was on a test drive , the same thing that happened to me, happened to him and they had to tow the car back to the dealership. After it happened to the technician, Acura did a more thorough check on the vehicle and determined that it needed the high voltage battery replaced, and they didn’t have an eta on when the car will be ready since it’s a brand new car and that part is limited. The car only has 1,527 miles and was only driven for 17 days and I’m already dealing with all of this. The car has already been at the dealership for 3 weeks and no signs of when I’ll get it back. I’ve been driving the loaner vehicle longer than I’ve had my ZDX. Fair to say I’ve lost all confidence in this vehicle and honestly don’t even want it anymore. I never write reviews like this, but I’ve owned plenty of car in my life and have never had any issues like this with a brand new vehicle. Hopefully my experience is a rare occurrence, because I wouldn’t want anyone else going through this with a brand new car.

Stay away from the ZDX!!!
Aside from the lack of basic features that other simpler cars have that this car is missing, I’m facing technical problems every other day. It’s been at the dealer for 3 days the week after I got it. I’ve spent hours on the phone with their service department and the sales manager and nothing!!! The screens blank out, the range is off, the heat doesn’t work sometimes and other issues as well. Forget about the phone app working basic commands such as lock/unlock or remote start climate, not to mention showing basic status of the car. It seems like Acura rushed to put an EV out to the market and this premature launch of a mediocre car with a 72k sticker price. Should have gotten a Lyriq!

Remote access and phone connection problems.
Acura Ev app that was supposed to take care of remote connection to the car didn't work 100% of the time. I was getting a message "Unable to connect. Try later " Car infosystem doesn't recognize voice commands. The other party could barely hear me during all phone calls that I attempted to make. I opened a case with Acura customer service more then 2 weeks ago but so far not much help from them. I didn't expect these issues and this kind of customer support when I leased the car worth almost 75k. Shame to Acura.

Nice Car but unreliable!
I've owned the car for two weeks and while it's a very nice car to drive and very comfortable it has problems. First problem happened after I charged the vehicle at a fast charger, got a warning light that I had "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care". I went to drive the car the next day and the warning light disappeared but while driving to work I got a message that the "Adaptive Cruise was inoperable" and the left and right directional had become extremely loud. That night I put the car on a level two charger and when I drove it the next day the cruise was working again and the directional had returned back to normal. Needless to say for a $70,000 vehicle this has left me very concerned. I would be very wary of purchasing this vehicle.

Great car !
So me and my wife purchased this car , and at first we were kinda nervous knowing that this would be our first electric car and needless to say we’ve loved every bit of it ! Stylish, fast and a purely amazing vehicle ! One thing I will say to anyone looking to buy this vehicle , all electric car company’s have battery issues or issues with some of the electric so when you go and read reviews just take in mind that this can definitely happen with any electric car . My friend has had a Tesla,Rivion and then a Acura ZDX as well and has said that this is probably the best electric car he has owned by far !!!!!

Acura Type-S "ZDX-perience"
I've owned several Acura vehicles--2003 TL Type-S and the 2012 TL--which were amazing cars (so I was skeptical about driving the ZDX). Although it's an EV inbreed with GMC/Acura DNA, I'm amazed at how well she drives/handles, how comfortable the seats are, at the quality invested into the sound system/technology within this SUV, and how stylish she looks. The only knock is the price (however, I've had 25K knocked off of my leased Type-S) which I'm definitely enjoying!!! Trust me, don't go off of all the hearsay (I highly recommend test driving one) for an experience beyond measure!

Absolutely in love with it!
I was only willing to try this car with the special year end lease deal. Because it’s the first model year and the first EV offer from Acura. Exterior styling was OK, interior is average compared to to other luxury brands, and the car is made by GM from the same Cadillac plant in TN. But the deal was too good to pass up. But after driving it for a week, I fell in love with the car. It has a very unique set of Acura fine tuned tech driving and safety features that none of the other EVs I test drove can match. By far the most driver friendly steering with lane keep assist not overly intrusive and maintains great feedback. Best one padel driving by far. Rare seat are average, but the front seats are exceptionally comfortable and sporty. The car is very fast and the ride is super quiet and smooth. I do think the heavy weight of the car compromised the potential performance of this car, but it can do 4.3 sec 0-60, it’s still a beast. Thanks to the negative reviews and a fantastic deal on this sleeper 😉

Awesome
Make sure you have a home charger before buying. If you don’t have a charger, finding a charger for daily use is a pain in the neck. Other than that the car is terrific. It’s fast, quiet, smooth, comfortable, luxurious… I have been an Acura buyer for more than 20 years and this car certainly lives up to its Herritage.

Increidbly poor, worst vehicle I have owned.
I want to start by saying I had a ZDX for a month and the dealer swapped me out into another one due to so many issues with charging, interior noises, panels/weather stripping falling off, dirt sprayed into the paint and a bunch of other issues. I am now a month into the second ZDX AWD and without a doubt, its THE WORST vehicle I have ever owned. It drives okay and its comfortable, but my 18 year old F150 has less interior creeks and rattles than this ZDX. The vehicle app is honestly so useless, Acura are beyond clueless since its a GM vehicle and they take forever to diagnose any issues, wether its the local dealer or Acura customer care. I absolutely cannot wait to trade out of this garbage as soon as I can. The charging speed at fast chargers sucks, my 4 year old polestar that this vehicle replaced seemed to charge faster since it had a better curve despite slower peak speeds. The steering is so numb and slow, the steering rack doesnt appear to be any different from its sister GM vehicle, and despite the attractive lease offers, I wouldnt touch this thing with a 6ft pole. Its easy to see how it fooled motor journalists, because the first week I loved it, untill the TERRIBLE GM build quality kept making itself know. The only positive is the B&O stereo system, however again it could really be better for the name plate thats on it.

Much to Like
A Spec AWD: The Good- Very comfortable driving experience. No lack of power at all. As cars become screen oriented, this car maintains manual HVAC, mirrors and glove compartment controls. I've driven Tesla, Rivian, Lucid and others and the ergonomics with manual controls for these functions is superior to adjustments requiring distracting ones self from driving to look at menus to make adjustments. The android based OS makes it very easy to use for Android Phone users. Very spacious. Mine had a great build quality except the hood gap on the drivers side seems large. No squeaks, or rattles. Metallic white finish appears flawless. Lots of storage. Very comfortable real leather seats with heating/ventilation. The less good- Sloppy engineering up front. There is a huge hood and underneath it is a lot of wasted space. Not engineering a frunk was lazy and poor market research. Cold weather range plummets by 1/3 if using all heat options (Pre-heating plugged in highly recommended) but that seems endemic to EVs. The phone app is a mess with intermittent connectivity. Overall appealing interior, but a few hard plastic parts. Interior assembly appears very good. Dismissing this vehicle because it is "GM" and because of the MSRP may be short sighted. It is heavily discounted and although nothing is perfect it is mostly a pleasure to drive. Emporia home charger recommended. All cars now have quirks. This car makes EV live pretty easy.

ZDX disapointment
Leased a Type S in October of 2024. The vehicle has experienced multiple repeatable issues with the service brake assist, which disables regenerative braking and reduces overall range. Other random problems also frequently occur from sensors incorrectly jolting the vehicle to reverse stops with nothing in the way to pixelation of the infotainment screen, reduced range, slow charging speeds... need to I go on. The remote vehicle features may work 1 or 20 attempts. To make matters worse, Acura seems not to be tuned in to these customer issues. After 6 trips to the dealer and multiple calls to the customer center, we finally have a case open. So far, the vehicle has been an incredible disappointment due to these issues. Making matters worse, American Honda is slow to recognize they have serious quality issues with their GM-manufactured vehicles. If you are considering this vehicle, don't take my word for it. Do yourself a favor and search Google for the numerous postings of customers with ZDX electrical issues and Acura's slow and clumbsy response in addressing the problems.

vehicle not charging after 15 days
Leased a new Acura ZDX. Initially, it took 1 month to install charger through Acura. It was charging all good. suddenly after 15 days, Vehicle is not getting charged on any charger. They have so many different numbers to contact, really not sure whom to contact. No one picks the phone trying multiple times, but nothing is of any help. Totally lost on next steps. No peace of mind. Acura EV app is pathetic as well. Total useless for money.

Acura/Honda customer service is abysmal
If you choose to buy or lease an Acura ZDX, you should know it is a collaboration between American Honda and GM. They don't have their act together for provisioning online services and when it doesn't go right from the start--through no possible fault of the buyer--Acura/Honda customer service eagles their hands of any obligation to provide the car online services, blames AT&T and closes the support case. AT&T has nothing to do with the provisioning, OnStar/GM does. But OnStar claims no information about the services that should have been provisioned and just wants to sell new online services. So nobody is willing to take responsibility. After more than a month, and a dozen calls to all three companies, I would never buy another product where I had to rely on support from Acura/American Honda. All I wanted was what they promised in writing and took my money for.

Acura ZDX game changer!
Great vehicle from Acura comfortable with great seat and endless amounts of power. The only downside fall is it’s made by General Motors in the same plant as the Lyric.

not the best style
sloping roof line makes the back seat and cargo area smaller. Tiny rear window seems dangerous for driving on the highways.
