Likes... Exterior styling. The best looking (in my opinion) midsize on the road today. A non turbo, years proven reliable, V6 engine. Very upscale interior for the money. The sound system is phenomenal!! Ranked and rated better than what 99% of the other vehicle manufacturers offer. City MPG's. I getting 22-23 in town. A pleasant surprise. Front seats are super comfortable. Super handling all wheel drive is just what it says. Way better than the Genesis, Lexus, Volvo, Lincoln or Mercedes midsize SUV I test drove. The BMW X5 was the only one that handled and cornered better than the MDX. Dislikes... Highway MPG's. I'm not getting anything better than 24-25.

Purchased a new 2024 MDX in March. Noticed immediately pinholes in the sunscreen/shade for the sunroof when picking it up from their detail shop for the paint protection film and tint. Several replacements later, it appears the sunscreen/shade is fixed. Unfortunately, during one of the attempts, we were told they ordered a new headliner and not sure what happened to the original headliner that was perfectly fine(must have been damaged when they were repairing the sunscreen)?? Fast forward and numerous headliners later, it looks like garbage. Acura told them to stop repairs/ no more headliners and try to massage out the ripples, which did not work. Was also told by the service manager earlier in this ordeal when he finally returned my call after requesting photos( I also copied the general manager on the email containing the photos because I was getting no response), I would find an issue with any of their new cars headliners on their lot. I told him I doubt that, and if thats the case, Acura is not a Luxury brand they claim to be and asked to exchange it for the same vehicle. He jumped right to that's a buyback and take it up with Acura.(My wife was present while on speaker phone for that conversation, taking notes). Dealership told us they are unable to repair and to take it up with Client Relations. Acura Client Relations didn't care that it looks terrible. They said we consider it "functional as intended" and would not respond when asked about the damage/ripples. The dealership did not have our back and did not advocate for us. Now, we are having to go through NCDS arbitration. It's too bad one repair caused damage to another item and could not be fixed. I remember the original conversation with the service advisor before it went in the first time. I asked if they could handle this repair and what if something is not right. He said we will keep working on it until it is fixed. Not true in this case. They are not taking responsibility for replacing the original headliner, which was perfectly fine. At this time, the Dealer has not stepped up to make this right. Be aware this vehicle is now showing water in the cargo area above the spare tire, this will lead to mold and mildew issues. I have scheduled it to get in to find out where it is coming in from. Vehicle has lots of rattling at dash board and rear door hatch. Vehicle jerks constantly while driving on the freeway. Even with auto start off, the vehicle has a bad delay when taking off from a stop. Bluetooth cuts out constantly when playing music through any apps, and it's not a phone issue, tried numerous phones. Have 4 other vehicles with Bluetooth and no issues and dealership can't figure it out. . overpriced Honda. Highly disappointed to say the least, and in my opinion I believe Acura's are junk.. I will ditch this vehicle once the factory warranty has run out.

Took delivery on a '23 MDX AWD Technology a couple of months ago. Impressive fit and finish and quality of materials. Sound system is outstanding. The SH-AWD torque vectoring system gives this 4600 pound SUV sports car handling. The 8 year/ 100,000 mile AcuraCare extended warranty deserves a look. There are some negatives. The infotainment system has a steep learning curve and the touch pad is ok but I would have preferred a touch screen. Mostly city driving mpg is about 17 so far which is far less the EPAs 19 mpg. For the money, the MDX is tough to beat. Update.....It's been 7 months since I took delivery. Still love the MDX, zero problems, mpg still about 17 mpg. Great purchase! One year later, it's still a great purchase. Buy one with confidence. Two years later, no issues, no problems, very happy with the MDX

My 5th Acura. 2nd MDX. Traded my 2017 Mdx 4 months ago for a new 2023. The improvements are great. Smooth acceleration. You don’t feel the shifts with 10 speed transmission. Very comfortable interior, love ergonomics can’t beat the comfort. My only miniscule gripe is that the turn signal is noisy. Being that this is my 5th new acura since 2001 I’m an Acura fan. Every model change has been an improvement in my opinion. From my experience in driving 25-30k miles per year…and I keep my cars until at least 125k in miles or 5-6 years, I can say…tried, tested and proven, you can’t beat the acura reliabilty.

Transmission Ruins a Great Driving SUV

2024 Acura MDX Type S 4dr SUV AWD w/Advance Package (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 10A)

Recently bought the Type S…. Got $5k off given the 2025 is around the corner. This is an excellent driving SUV sans the transmission. Coming to a stop the downshifting is terrible. Can’t believe after so many versions Honda/Acura can’t figure out how to make a decent transmission. Fit/finish of the interior is excellent. Aside from the crap transmission, the Type S blows away the Lexus F sport RX in every way.
