Great Entry Level Jeep

2016 Jeep Patriot
I always wanted a Jeep since as long as I could remember. I’m now 35 and a proud owner of a Jeep Patriot. Coming from a family where multiple people owned Jeep’s some would say I was destined to own one myself. I have always heard nothing but good things about Jeep’s. I just never could afford the cost of one, until now. I first seen the Patriot on a local car lot and immediately was … taken back to my childhood days of seeing almost this same design and loving it. Of course, the Wrangler is what I throughly enjoyed the look of but I know with my current situation, I needed a more family friendly Jeep that wouldn’t break the bank. I took the Patriot for a test drive and immediately understood why Patriot owners love it. The Jeep feeling is there, comfort, ride height, roomy, storage space, that rugged but luxury look on the interior. So much can be said of a Jeep but I don’t have the time. When I hop into my Patriot and head out, wether to work or play, I know my Patriot has me covered. With the power of the 2.4L engine coupled with a 6spd Auto transmission and a perfect body, the Patriot is a baby beast. I’m glad I decided to go this route, entry level Patriot feels, looks, and rides like it should be a mid level Jeep. Adding on the proper tires for all terrain and the Patriot is ready to handle anything. This baby hugs the road, taking curves with no issues even at speeds of 65mph. For the size of the interior I expected some time for the inside to warm up, I was wrong, only takes about 2mins and everyone is comfortably warm. The same goes for the air conditioning as well. The factory speakers are wonderful and the stereo can push the speakers with ease. The Patriot has a very responsive steering wheel as well. Braking is done easily and smoothly. All the instruments are easy to read and have that Jeep quality. Recently went on a long trip and I made it 375miles on a full tank. That’s pretty darn good for an SUV. Towing capacity is on par for an in-line 4 cylinder and I never once felt the Patriot faulter at all while towing. It almost felt as though I wasn’t towing anything. Night time driving is great with the bright headlights and even better when the brights are on, having fog lamps is a huge plus. If you are on the fence as to wether or not you want a Jeep, or you just want to spend little on a Jeep. Then the Patriot is definitely the way to go. One more thing, the modifications that you can do are limitless.
Coming back after owning this Patriot for half a year and still going strong. I love this Jeep! She has gotten me through everything from floods to off-road.
