This was my first vehicle. I loved this truck and so did my friends. i had so many people compliment it. I was the 5th owner and the guy before me put on a brush gaurd, rear light covers and a safari rack. My 4Runner came with the tire located on the back of the truck. I took this thing off road all the time and never got it stuck once. MY best friend who is a jeep fanatic ttalked smack all the time until the third or fourth time i pulled him out. Before I went to BUD/s school to be a Navy SEAL i took it out to the rocky mountiains and never had a better time in my life. Sadly i did have a few problems with it that were from beating the crap out of it but all in all this is th ebest truck iv
Ok, I know that it has been a short time that I have owned the truck but this has to be one of the most durable, dependable and versatile vehicles out there. I have pulled my buddies out of monster snow drifts with this thing. I live in Canada and for starting in the cold weather there isn't an issue, I have never, let me say that again, I have never gotten stuck in this truck. I love it, the only complaint I have is the fuel economy, but that is to be expected when driving a truck. Don't go and buy one of these thinking that you will get 400 miles to a tank. It Is a tank and I promise that it will get you through damn near anything.
Durability, dependability, 4x4, ease of maintenance
Bought this last year from a person in town and love it! Have had to replace head gaskets, but it's got 270,000 miles on it and still runs perfect! I have taken it off-road and it does geat. Still tight, and all the major stuff still works. Amazing vehicle!
I purchased my truck in 94, it now has 201000 miles with very minimal repairs besides normal up keep. Motor was replaced at 120000 due to blown head gasket, but Toyota stepped up and covered all expenses due to a recall. I've considered selling this truck several times, but after shopping around nothing out there can do the job better than this truck has in the past 15 years. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
Rear power window, no-clutch start button, rear heat
More power, but Toyota has addressed this in later models.
