I have the current problem with my Lexus LS 400 1994 and I was quoted $1000 to repair. They said that it would start effecting the actual engine if I do not repair it soon. Now that I see that you had it done for $600 I better start checking around, Thanks

Recently tried to charge a cell phone via the cigarette lighter in my 1994 Lexus LS400. Result - blown fuse - lost all heating/ventilation. Replacing the fuse does not solve the problem - tried it. Any ideas??
When I turn the steering left or right, I heard the noise ozz....ozzz. Can someone tell me what's wrong with the steering ? power steering ? steering pump ? how much would it cost to fix the problem ? my car is 105K miles, 1994 LS 400. I live in Sacramento, California. Any best places to fix or get diagnostic ? Thanks for your input.
The a/c on my 1994 LS 400 has a musty and mold odor. The Lexus dealer suggested spraying Lysol into the intake air vents located in engine compartment next to the windshield. I tried this, but, it doesn't last more than an hour or so. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!
does any one know how fast a 1995-97 Ls 400 will go. I have seen a picture of a 1994 Ls 400 going 160 mph. at 5500 rpm. I just have no space in Tampa where i live to test drive one and go that fast
The current LS is not fairly new. It was unveiled in January 2000 at the Detroit Auto Show and went on sale in the fall of 2000 as a 2001. It is now entering its fourth year. Lexus does not have long model cycles. Typically their cars run for five years, with a cosmetic freshening in the fourth year. So, what Lexus is doing follows their history. Compare this to Mercedes ... Read More
I purchased a 1994 LS 400 in January that came from Florida and had the "flickering" dash illumination problem. I posted here and at Club Lexus for help and finally found someone to help. The Atlanta-area dealers wanted $1500. A shop owner in the Atlanta area has figured out what problem is and will fix your lighting/illumination for a very reasonable price. (not sure if he also deals with burned-out needle ... Read More

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I've now purchased an electronics manual for the LS 400. In tracing the ground I believe that the IH1 ground, which is on terminal 14 of the white connector, is common to the things that are going out on me. (See page 15 of the manual diagrams) I cannot see an obvious break so I am thinking about splicing a wire into the backplane at ... Read More
