I've restored a classic 50's car, owned a couple of 60's muscle cars, owned a couple later model performance cars, plus several Japanese cars, but this Jaguar was the most fun to own and drive and it by far attracted the most attention. The repair costs are slightly higher because I always used Jaguar authorized technicians, but it was well worth it. It is a little expensive to insure if you have teenagers on your policy. Unbelieveable mid-range torque and acceleration. This used to be my everyday car, but I bought an SUV and this is now my "pleasure vehicle" as the insurance company calls it, and that actually is a good adjective for this car.
The great acceleration when you floor it when you're already running at 45. Really flat thru the corners.
Resolve the major electrical drain. Battery needs charged if the car sits for a few weeks.
