I have a 2008 Jaguar S type. Yesterday I lost the audio from my radio and CD and discovered that the mute function is now on. We cannot find a way to switch the mute off and the Jaguar dealer was of no help. How can we switch the mute off?
Dear beeware, In answer to your question quite a bit of information would needed to advise properly. However, there are very few cars more expensive to keep on the road than an old Jaguar. My experience is that the ones with the most miles on them are more dependable than the ones rarely driven. of course the ones rarely driven can still look brand new. In response to all this stuff ... Read More
Thank you xjsguy for your reply. I did find exactly what I wanted from another local Jaguar dealership. The salesman was not pushy and very informative. I had my pricing information with me and it worked out for us...Supposedly $1,000 over dealer invoice and he threw in custom pinstriping. I met with the artist to discuss color options and had my initials put on the door (very small and discreet). I ... Read More
Only a $3000 discount for one year old model and 5000 miles is horrible. It's a used car!!!! I would think a 3-4000 discount on the new one (2008) seems about right but use the main part of Edmunds to check it out. You might want to get some bids from other dealers and if they won't meet the price, buy else where. Absolutely forget any idea of this being a ... Read More
I'm considering the purchase of a 2007or 2008 Jaguar S. I have been told that they are identical automobiles for both years. I have been searching for reviews and would appreciate any information regarding these cars. I understand that Jaguar has worked diligently to improve faults on previous years models. I owned a 94' XJ for five years...purchased with 24,000 miles on it. I loved it but did incure issues over ... Read More
I will be leasing a 2008 Jaguar S-Type 4.2. I will be doing a 36 month lease. Mileage can be 10,000/year. Can you tell me what the corresponding residual and money factors are? Is there any other cash available (other than the $2,200 you mentioned)? Thanks
You're very welcome, rtjgolf. Jaguar is currently providing a $4,500 cash incentive on leases of 2007 S-Types through Jaguar Credit. It is providing $2,200 lease cash on the 2008 S-Type 4.2, but I haven't seen any cash for the '08 S-Type R. I would be happy to give you an idea of what these cars' current lease programs are like, but in order for me to do so I need you ... Read More
I am coming to the end of 42 month lease on my S type. This is my second S Type that I have leased. I understand that the past 2 years have been terrible for S type sales and it is likely that the car will no longer be made after 2008. I would have thought I would have gotten in the mail some type of incentive or promotion to continue ... Read More
