I don't have a Nubira, mine is a Leganza. I think the motors may be similar. Oil may leak from the valve cover, but should not "spurt". Tightening probably won't help since the bolts should be torqued. (Leganza is 71 inch pounds--IMPORTANT). I would check crankcase ventilation hoses; looking for collapsed, soft or tightly bent hoses coming from the valve cover. If you do change the valve cover gasket, I have ... Read More

While attempting to raise the power windows on my 2000 Nubira all four power door locks suddenly began to simultaneously go up and down as long as the window lever was activated, while the windows stayed down...and remain down. Check with your local Daewoo dealer. When I bought mine, there was a code that attached to the key ring. Of course I lost it! If there is no local dealer, my dealer still has Daewoo information 304 727 2921. Ask for Daewoo Parts Department. Good luck.

Thanks so much higiene! I have a 2001 Daewoo Leganza and that code worked for me too after the battery went dead. I tried all kinds of codes and couldn't get it to work until I read your post to try 2152 and it worked! Thanks again!

1) Ur AC problem is most likely that the system needs to be recharged...keep in mind thet Daewoo used the cheapest parts possible so it will probably be a temporary fix unless you find out where it leaks from. 2) Oil outside the gasket...tighten bolts a little, if this doesn't work -- replace the gasket. I just bought a used 2000 Nubira CDX. I visualized the following problems. 1. AC can be switched on but no air coming out from the vent. Is it the fan problem or the ac problem? 2. I have 84k and the timing belt just broke. I have learned that this is a usual occurrence with the Daewoo Nubira 2000. And I am wondering if there is anything else that I should anticipate or maintenance before it causes me to be on the side of the road with my son in my car.

A common problem on the Nubira model is the rubber bushings for the front control arms go bad every 40K miles or so. Ours lasted 70K miles. But eventually the bushings will go bad.
