Seems to be moisture related. Won't start if it sits out in the rain overnite. Set it in the garage overnite and it will start. Let it sit outside for a week and it won't start. Put it in the garage overnite and it will start.
I would 1st like to start off by saying that i understand your pain. I own a 1999 Chrysler Sebring. This car its the worst purchase that i have ever made in my life. Recently, my Check Engine light came on my 1995 Sebring (90K miles currently) and it had an extremely erratic idle with coughing, jerking & sputtering. It turned out that oil had leaked into the spark plugs. The valve covers, plugs & wires were replaced, but the problem continued, and eventually the car would completely stall at idle, and sometimes even going on the highway. In response to several (I counted 10) messages on this board re the crunching/squeaking noise in the steering, especially at cold temps and when braking.
