1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove mount retaining nuts from below frame mounting bracket. 2. Remove transaxle mount nuts, then install suitable engine support fixture. 3. Raise engine only enough to provide clearance for mount removal. 4. Remove mount to engine bracket nuts, then mount 5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications. Book labor is only .5 hour but I'm worried about the cheap part you're buying. List price ... Read More

Anyone??? I am planning on working on it this weekend since the weather will be gorgeous. Just want to know if I have to somehow support the motor from the bottom (like raising it a bit) or if I can just undo the bolts, take the old one out and put the new one in. Please answer the question if you can. Really appreciated Thanks

Need to replace the Torque Strut on my 1994 Buick century. Was taken in for inspection and was told that in order to Pass I need to get that done. (the guy even showed me what I need to get done) Called around and got quotes anywhere from $80 to almost $300. Needless to say I am not going anywhere close to them. I checked online and the part is $9.99 ... Read More

I had an overheating problem too on my buick century 1994 (41000 original miles). Had the radiator flushed. The light would still come on from time to time. Took it back to the shop they changed the thermostat. They also reflushed the radiator, because after they flushed it the first time they put some kind of cleaner in it and that really cleaned it but at the same time caused a ... Read More

My situation is #67 of 73. I just got my car out of the shop for the tail lights not working. Have your headlight switch, and the connector checked. It fixed my problem.

My problem is similar to alot of others in here but a bit different. My problem is all of a sudden, like twenty mins apart, my tail lights, running lights and dash light all decided not to work anymore. The headlights, brake lights and turn signals all work fine. I have changed the fuses in the fuse box inside the car. Any suggestions on this problem or ways to repair cheaply ... Read More

I have a 1994 Buick Century and wanted to put new tires on it that are wider than the standard 185 - 14s which are standard. Would any one know if this is possible and/or how wide I could go before the tires rub on the fender wells? Thanks

Hi Folks: Have same issue as starsky209. Have had it since purchased new. Runs great on road, at halfway on gauge. When sitting in traffic or straining a bit on hill, runs hotter. Has reached 3/4 mark on gauge but no hotter than that. Have replaced water pump and intake manifold gasket as a result of having car checked by mechanics for leaks or other problem. Have also had radiator flushed ... Read More

1994 Buick Century

On my last post I made a typo on the year of the car. It is a 1994 Buick Century with high mileage. I know that $1,200 doesn't seem like much to spend but if I was facing something high in the cost of any repairs that goes up quickly. Please someone out there give me some feed back on what risk is involved with buying something that's approaching the 200,000 ... Read More

I am in need of a second car for my wife. I looked at a very decent looking and which sure appeared to mechanically sound 1994 Buick Century w/high mileage 162,000 miles. I keep thinking that a car with that high of mileage has got to be facing something in repairs and yet reviews I've read on the car have been favorable. The owner knows the high mileage is a drawback ... Read More

I am new to Edmunds and while reviewing topics I saw alot of comments about the Century that I totally disagree with. Granted every has different likes and dislikes and every vehicle made is not always the same even if they are the same model. I just purchased my Father-in-laws 1996 Buick Century (a deal I could not refuse). It is in perfect shape with only 55K miles. He wanted a ... Read More
