Just got a 2007 Audi S8 in silver. Pearl paint is nice but a pain to match as I learned with my escalade. pearl is a 3 stage paint. plain metallic is much easier for detailer to patch up any nasty dings that jerks in the parking lots are know to make.

How do you like your S8? I just got my 2007 in May. Took 2 months to order as I like it. I had 2 problems which you should check out. 1. The transmission gasket leaked and they needed to get a newer thicker one with a new "high heat" sealent. Also a small fuel pump was leaking, no fluid on ground, but same fuel smell. I think the A8 is a car good enough for me in all aspects; somehow, by driving it, you feel you want more of the A8, and that is why I am waiting for the S8� coming by the end of March or early April. Got it. Misunderstood the original post. On a different note... After about a year I'm ready for something different. Just not enough power. Maybe an S8 or a 911. Any other A8 owner wants to share their opinion?

The 07 A8 I got is more equipped than the S8 I ordered two and half months ago. Somehow this follow-up test report makes me feel the decision for the S8 is ok! Still, I got two more months to wait. A more A8, do I need that? Then what is the life and hardwork about?
