Honda/Acura build soild cars. 180k is nothing for some. my girlfriend and her old man had matching 92 acura ledgends. her car is pushing 260k with a slight valve tap and a little oil leak, and her dad's had 305k! Hi all.... God I hope you can help me cuse I'm scratching my head. Ok... 1998 Acura Integra GS... JUST went over the 200,000 km mark. Oil changes every 5000 km. I am ANAL about this car. Hi,all, I just bought an acura integra LS,1998. the milage is 105,000, but the timing belt hasn't yet been replaced. The inspector of a car repair told me that it's really expensive to repair the cylinder if the timing belt isn't replaced,and the price of replacing the timing belt is about $450. I have been looking now at some Integras. I am NOT a Honda person. Almost every car I have owned came from the (hiccup) lovely state of Michigan. The 1980 and 1986 Civics I had were horrible, the '80 lost its timing belt the day after I bought it, and the '86 blew its head gasket 130 miles after I bought it (temp gauge was stuck halfway between C and H). ... Hum...I might have agree with MZN (Carlady/Host). The sedan model of the GS-R adds some lbs. to the curb weight; In addition the overall length of the car is longer all with the same engine/tranny/supension/etc. It may be worth checking into however, no Ford will ever be the Integra for reliability. If the handling on an Integra Sedan is decimal points less than that of a Contour SVT...I'll take the Acura ... Read More
