Used 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Consumer Reviews
2006 Jetta TDI Automatic
The more I drive my Jetta, the more I like it. It is a fun car to drive. It handles more like a flat cornering, tight handling sports car, which I like. It isnt noisy but you can hear the motor purr when accelerating which is fine with me. It has plenty of power for normal driving, cruises easily at 60-70 mph, and accelerates at those speeds. This car never seems to labor at any speed, maybe because of the DSG automatic transmission. This is a 6-speed transmission with a sport mode and a paddle shifter if you desire to shift at your own shift points.
I Love To Drive My V-Dub
Have you ever owned a car that you can't wait to drive it again? This is the car! This is truly a driver's car. The fit and finish is first rate. Where do I start? It's the premium sound system with Sirius satellite and 6 disc MP3 player and the leather heated seats and the attractive interior night lighting and the power sunroof and the automatic climate controls and the automatic headlights and the rain sensing windshield wipers and the spacious trunk. This is a loaded vehicle. This is what a luxury car is supposed to be.

The Ultimate Road Warrior
The Jetta TDI is an excellent vehicle for the price. This is my second TDI and probably won't be my last. It gets 40 mpg and it isn't even broken in. I would definitely recommend it for anybody who wants a stylish, safe vehicle with outstanding fuel economy.
I should have bought a Honda
I bought this car because I was following my heart and ignoring my head, what a costly mistake. I am currently in discussions with an attorney on lemon lawing the car. The car would not start the first day I had it. Towed to dealer, was told it was a 'software' glitch. Two days later car left me and a client stranded out at lunch. Again, the dealer says 'software' glitch. Last night the wipers would not work in a storm. I sat on the side of the road burning up my cell phone minutes instead. I have come to find out that the zone rep is not believable and that VW could care less. I've gone as far as speaking with a VP of Customer Care. He said in so many words, 'you have a warranty'.
New Jetta TDI
I have less than 1,000 miles on my Jetta TDI so far. I got 35 mpg on my first tank of gas. Everything seems to work.
