Dealer Review:

Matt Haiken, Chris Mazzeo, and Luis Nieves are the most horrific humans to deal with when purchasing a car. They are deceitful, vague, and non responsive in order to cheat you out of every penny. DO NOT USE PRESTIGE VOLVO. I spent $27,975.34 (bought at sticker price) on a pre-owned 2016 Volvo S60 Inscription T5 Drive-E Premier. The issue was when I drove off the lot and did not spot a small crack in the bottom middle of the windshield and two dents on the hood. Shame on me for missing that. I texted Luis a few hours after leaving the lot with pictures of what I found. He said he would talk to his manager and see what he could do. This all happened on a Tuesday. I stopped by on a Saturday unannounced and Luis was not there and of course that gem of a General Manager Chris Mazzeo was too busy to help. One of the business managers helped me out and said they would repair the windshield as he was a safety issue but he had to check with the manager or owner about the dents. This is when the real issues began. Luis all of a sudden did not respond to by texts or emails until I wrote an email that I was disappointed. When he responded it was vague and not helpful. I then emailed the President, Matthew Haiken, who certainly is not deserving of that title. He pushed the email to Chris Mazzeo since, Matt was conveniently out of the country. A few weeks later as of Friday, June 6th, he was still out of the country as I was told by Luis. This has caused much unneeded aggravation and nothing has been solved. I was willing to take off this Tuesday, June 11th, and drop the car off per the email chain below. Why even bother and waste my vacation time as Matt can not even respond back to a simple email. Mind you, I do not live close to the dealership. They will just continue to give me the runaround over a couple hundred dollars. This was the first car I bought in 20 years. Such a shame. Bottom line, don’t use Prestige Volvo, it is anything but Prestigious.

In the phone call she said I have to be right there to show them the writing price provided by other dealer, then they can not guarantee to match or beat down that price. I asked if I could scan and send that writing price by email for time saving. She said no and I must be there. I asked if I visit your garage, can you guarantee to beat that price down? she said no.During the whole phone call, she continually to speak for 10 minutes. I almost can not have a chance to say a word. She didn't have any patience to listen to me and finally hang up immediately. I called back to her want to express my meaning. She became even more crazy and said she don't care my complain or report her bad behavior to anywhere. She said to me:"you can do anything whatever complain or report or bad review." She also said because she is a manager so she don't care. She is the most rude customer representative I have seen in NJ. Her behavior damaged the reputation of this dealership. I bought a used hybrid Civic with low miles. I inquired about certain fees added on and was told it is for if you car gets stolen Honda pays you $5,000 I told her my sales representative I do not want this or to pay for this as this is what I pay insurance for. She told me I'll see what I can do which I'm not taking it out on her. It is the general manager who really shows the character of freehold Honda. He was a tall bald middle aged man. He comes over and says I will cut the price down of the fee from $300 to $150 I told him I just don't understand I don't want this fee I pay insurance for this reason. He leaves she comes back now he won't take any money off this fee. Well all I have to say is Karma. That general manger is crooked and so is this dealership. Not to mention the 1,000 fees you pay for detailing and such. They basically just wash the car. I also test drove a light silver hybrid 2015. The price at the time was 14,500 I inquired why the 2015 hybrid Civic I bought with no leather interior was a thousand more. The silver hybrid had 1,000 more miles on it yet it had leather heated seats in it. After I picked up my car do you believe I they raised the price of that 2015 silver hybrid to $16,977. More than $2,500 in a matter of seven days. I also know someone from the Honda training facility he works there and told me the car is a good car but the dealship iskniw to be shady and dishonest. The have a bad name and if I knew before finding this used hybrid Civic I would never go there no recommend them to anyone.
