Lexus of a Pickup (Tundra Capstone)

2024 Toyota Tundra Capstone 4dr CrewMax 4WD SB w/5.5' Bed (3.5L 6cyl Turbo gas/electric hybrid 10A)

I need a vehicle which is 5% work vehicle and 95% people mover. Toyota hit this perfect. Luxury in a pickup truck. If Lexus were going to make a pickup, Tundra Capstone would be it.

Shutter and shake

Dennis Frick, 05/01/2025
2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition 4dr CrewMax SB w/6.5' Bed (3.4L 6cyl Turbo 10A)

So I’ve had my 2024 1794 for almost a year and 22,000 miles. I’ve had it back multiple times because of a drivetrain shutter as it hits second gear. They finally sat me down after changing out the driveshaft and said there is nothing they can do. This is a characteristic of the crew cab with a 6 1/2 foot bed. Evidently they ALL do it. Toyota has no solution. I feel like the truck looks really good otherwise but has cheap interior parts. Not up to Toyota standards. Should have stayed with the F150.

Love this truck

Very comfortable ride. Feels planted but goes over bumps much more smoothly than other full-size trucks. It has good power, especially good low-end torque. Nice interior and tech as well. Mine has the 14” screen which looks amazing. Very satisfying feel on the physical controls. Leather seats are quite comfortable. Some noticeable wind noise over 80mph, as expected for a truck. Rear head room may not be enough for passengers over 6’ tall.

Was hesitant, but very happy I purchased this truck. Great ride, fast acceleration, and nice design.
