Used 2010 Toyota Tacoma Consumer Reviews
1st time Tacoma owner
I really love this truck. I was looking for a truck that would last me at least 10 yrs and get good mileage. I love the box and suicide doors. The SR5 package is worth the money.
Perfect Truck
I've had this truck some 1 week now and I've been driving around to get used to is. This is my first truck. I love the quality interior and how quiet this truck is. My truck is TRD off road package and there are tons of offroad features in this package. Everyone keeps telling me how reliable Toyotas are. So far I have good experience with this.

Best pick-em-up-truck made
Quite simply the best intermediate pickup made. From style to quality of build, it is outstanding. The ride is very good and the bucket seats are fine for me and my wife. I don't understand why all the criticism of the seating. Well done Toyota.
liked at first--but
I like the truck, gas mileage isn't what I would like, but it is a truck. The only problem I have right now is after 1k miles--the bumper is rusting. Lotsa small specs. Waiting on dealer to call me back about it. Stock tires are junk. Other than that it rides well for a truck, good power I didn't expect the bumper to rust. If ya have a chrome bumper keep a eye on it.
Gen 2 Taco is the way to go!
A mid-year 2nd Generation Tacoma is the best for stable, reliable technology and comfort. The extra 4" width is a noticeable improvement. I really wanted to avoid the mammoth screen in the center dash too, since this would be an off-roading/ family camping vehicle. The 2010 I bought had a single-din stereo and a two-way radio already installed, in addition to some off-road improvements. Watch out for 3 major recalls in 2nd Gen Tacos: frame rust, rear leaf springs, and air bags... but if those aren't needed, these trucks are awesome! Update: 3 years later, this thing is still awesome. This is a VERY capable offroad/overland camping vehicle. Reliability has been fantastic. I have kept up with planned maintenance and had no major repairs, despite frequent mid-distance offroad trips (not extreme rock crawling much... primarily "remote area camping"). These are really good trucks... I see why they hold value like they do.
