Old faithful
We bought this van specifically for moving 5 adults and luggage across the country several times in the year. It handled the job nicely and even the teenage boys (who spread themselves out) seemed comfortable for multi-day car trips. We put 24,000 miles on it in the first 9 months. Gas mileage was only fair but didn't waver much between loaded and empty (20-23 mpg). Had trouble with sliding door mechanisms and the parts aren't cheap. Brakes haven't been a problem as I've been reading in other posts. We have 180,000 on ours and I venture to say it will go to 250,000 no problem.
Column stick
I like my Sienna except for an occasional problem. When I go to put the van into Park, it sticks in Reverse. Since this is an occasional issue, I now leave my foot on the break until the van is turned off!!

Watch-out for this!
Watch out for 2002 Sienna models leaking water from the roof rack (sealant not applied to roof rack screws)into the interior. It will only be visable by wet carpet. And an aweful moldy musty smell.I have three different locations where the carpet got wet. My mechanic said he has treated others for same problem.
What Toyota Reliability?!
We bought our 2002 Toyota LE because of the reliability ratings. What a joke. Our van developed a brake squeal almost immediately after purchasing. Van pulls to the right or left at 60 mph. Engine has 66,000 miles and is sludged and needs $2000 in repairs. After researching we found out that the brakes, engine sludge and pulling are Toyota factory flaws and Toyota has numerous lawsuits pending against them. Wish we known before purchasing, we would have bought an Odyssey!
We love our Sienna CE
After having our van for over 1 year we love it. We've gone on long trips with 5 people and it has been very comfortable. We love the way it looks! I drive about 50 to 100 miles a day for my job and I love the handling, cd player, radio. There is plenty of room for my toys (I do therapy with kids in their homes). We have regular maintenance done and we have had no problems. We bought the van for Toyota quality and hope to keep it for a long time.
