I have always been very practical in my choice of vehicles, therefore I don’t really get really nice stuff. I look for gas mileage practical seating and use as well as good turning radius. For the first time in my life at age 54, I have a vehicle that I’m excited about and got all of that other great stuff too! Incredible MPG is exceeded what I was told to expect by 3 per gallon. The comfort and everything is great! I am a big fan of Toyota products and I’ve always had great luck with them, I look forward to many years of driving this one!
Rav4 hybrid
I like the way It drives and is comfortable but gas mileage is not as good as hoping I drive mostly hiway about 70% averaging about 33mpg at 75mph It is much better when in town I can get 38 to 40 when staying 35 to 45mph but it is fun to drive peppy and turning is great but I am coming from driving a full size truck I really like all the safety features sensors to worn you when you get close to something and how close you are

It’s ok, but I miss my Camry!
I bought a 2019 Camry XSE brand new in 2019. All the fancy add ons. I loved my car. Got a job working in Florida. Made a couple 5 hour trips in the Camry. Still had a quarter of a tank of gas once I arrived at my destination. Due to some unfortunate events, I was basically forced to trade it in while it still held its value. Being there is a limited selection of vehicles at dealerships in my area, I settled for the 2023 RAV4 SE Hybrid. I’ve made one trip to Florida so far in it. I had to stop about 45 minutes from my destination to fill it up. However, it did cost less to fill up than my Camry. Camry was about $42-$45. RAV was only $30. So not sure if the tank is smaller and holds less, but seems either the mileage isn’t as good or I will be having to fill up more frequently. So I guess it all evens out in the end. This is my first Hybrid so the shifting while breaking to charge the “battery” part is a little new and strange to me. There is some noise like other reviews talk about. Strange noise in reverse and a slight whistling on acceleration. Just weird to me. Not used to it. Also do not like being unable to see the RPMs. In the past I’ve had a few Nissans and I knew the transmissions were trash and could always tell when they were getting ready to start giving me problems because of the RPM gauge. So I’m a little uneasy about this vehicle not having that. I stuck with Nissan for years due to the luxury look not only outside, but inside as well. The comfort was absolutely there in my Maxima. Unfortunately, Nissan seems to put all their effort into the look and feel of the vehicle instead of the mechanical components that truly matter. Also with the RAV, sitting while parked it gives that little jump when it switches from battery to gas mode. Seems sketchy but again, first Hybrid vehicle so I guess it will take some getting used to. Due to pricing, I had to sacrifice my leather seats and panoramic roof which I’m not thrilled about. But small price to pay I guess to still have a reliable vehicle. Overall it’s ok. Inside is a little plain but the outside is beautiful. The 2023 does have a smoother ride than the 2019-2022 RAV models I’ve test driven in the past so that’s a plus. As long as it lasts me and doesn’t give me any problems to deal with and holds up next to the Camry, I’ll be satisfied. I also like how it is a little taller, easy to navigate through slightly flooded lower lying streets without worrying about being swept away and I no longer have to worry about parking and getting the front bumper ripped off by parking curbs. Camry 10/10, RAV 7/10 so far. Guess we will see how the gas mileage turns out once I’ve made a few more trips in it. Don’t let me down Toyota!

So far a great ride
I just took possession of it and have driven it only a bit but I am enjoying this car. It has a smooth ride, lots of bells and whistles, and it saves on gas.
