Raving about the RAV
The fuel economy is real. Got 42 overall on my first drive, even in cold weather. Front seat is very comfortable. Our XSE Hybrid’s first trip from Columbus to Raleigh, we didn’t even need to stop for gas. Apple Car Play is a big upgrade from Entune, and the standard remote start is a real plus in Ohio. Love the styling, performance is impressive. Not big on lane centering, but it’s easy to turn off. The deal sealer for me, the electronic video rear view mirror. No Blind Spots at all

Superb Compact SUV
Ours is the 2020 Hybrid Limited. The handling is precise and sporty. Visibility is excellent. Seats and driving position are very good even for my 6'1" 235lb frame. Love the driving assistance features, lane centering eased my stress on a long night drive in the rain. LED headlights with auto dining are great. Headed, ventilated front seats are a plus. Storage space is convenient and ample. Only two complaints:all of the door switches should be lighted plus the overhead switches and the passenger seat should be powered on the Limited model. Overall though an excellent vehicle when you combine Toyota reliability!

Love my XSE RAV4
Love my RAV4 hybrid! Drove the Honda CRV hybrid, it just sounded too “noisy”. When hitting 70MPH on the freeway, I felt like it was going to break down! I was really disappointed because I thought Honda was the way to go. Drove the Sporty RAV4 xse and LOVED how it drove, quiet with pep!! Only con, no light colored interior (xse comes in black only) but worth it to get the fabulous moonroof!

Could have been great
I traded my 2013 4Runner for the XSE. This could have been the best car in its class, but Toyota rushed it and went cheap. The good: 1. Love the design inside and out (subjective obviously) 2. I have the JBL sound system and it is epic 3. Good ride, handles well and quiet 4. I'm 6'3" and plenty of legroom (length wise). Comfortable seats 5. Great cargo room, especially with the seats down. The Bad: 1. Within 1 week of having the car, the battery died. Dealership kept it for 3 days and said it was a bad battery. I didn't believe it. Then the battery died again after a few months. This time they said it was a computer update. It is a widespread problem, search online. 2. The gas tank (widespread problem, research online). Mine takes about 8 gallons when close to empty. 3. The fuel economy. I get around 34 and I have been driving like a grandma. Nowhere close to 40 combined. 4. Lane keeping assist worked fairly well in the beginning but as I approach 5k miles, it is getting worse and worse. It feels like the car is a ping pong ball in the lane, not stable at all and definitely not safe. 5. The onboard computer is outdated, buggy and very slow. Around 1/3 of the time, I plug in my phone for Android auto and the system crashes or freezes and I have to turn off and turn back on the car. 6. The heated seats are non existent. Luke warm would be an overstatement. 7. The remote connect app for remote start, etc is unreliable. It does not work half the time. I have been back to the dealer for this twice too and still not resolved. Contacted Toyota corporate multiple times and they don't care. They acknowledged it is a problem with multiple owners. 8. The leg room WIDTH for the driver is very narrow. As I mentioned, I'm 6'3" and the length is amazing actually but the width is not comfortable. These are the thing that have been bothering me on a day to day basis. Obviously the gas tank issue and the car not starting are the big ones, but the others can be annoying. Toyota has finally sent letters out acknowledging the gas tank issue and indicated that they will be fixing it in the near future. I hope so. My interactions with the Toyota Experience Center (corporate) telephonically have not been positive. Toyota "sells itself" for some reason and they know that they can do whatever they want and will still make billions. The only good thing about Toyota is the cars really hold value. But this is my second Toyota now and my 4Runner had lots of problems as well. As attractive as this car is, and as well as it rides and the amount I enjoy driving it, it is like a tease. Kind of like dating a super-attractive person with no personality. Don't make the mistake I did; Toyota does not make reliable products and certainly does not stand by their vehicles.
Quiet ride
Great vehicle. Ride is quiet. Lots of gadgets. It’s Pretty fast in sport or sequential shift mode. Fills up to 10 gallons of gas and 40 miles per gallon. New tires were slippery in snow. Had to sipe them.
