Used 2010 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
Reliable, with good acceleration and cargo space
I rode my prius until someone ran into it and totaled it. At 160,000 miles, it was still going strong and had no issues beyond normal wear and tear. I bought the vehicle with 100,000 on it, and the fuel efficiency always hoovered around 40 mpg, which was lower than average, perhaps because it had more miles on it by the time I bought it. My car also accelerates quickly, even going up canyon highways. And best of all, the cargo area is big enough to hold my mountain bike (without removing wheels), and it also provides room for two people (5'3") and two dogs to sleep in the back while camping.

Has been to the dealer twice in a wk
Bought the car less than 4 months ago. Happy with the gas mileage. Three times I had to jump stat the car. The fourth time, even after charging, the car would not start. I called the Toyota emergency service, was told there is no free towing service for the Prius. We had it towed to the dealer. They reset about 8 codes and said the car was fine. Two days later at noon, the car would not start and had to jump start and took it the dealer. They charged the battery and said it is fine. I think this model has some electrical problem. They should have tried a new battery, but did not do it. The display panel in the middle of the car is not ideal. To look at it, you have to take your eyes off the road.
Quiet, cool, ethical economy
I never thought I would use the solar air conditioning feature, but it is wonderful to come back to a comfortable car on a hot summer day. This car has been incredibly reliable. Maintenance has consisted of an oil change every 10,000 miles. No mechanical problems, which seems impressive in a car that is technologically so complex. On the freeway I get up to 53 mpg. Mileage drops with heat or cold, but is never far off 50 mpg. If it were better on snowy hills, and had slightly higher ground clearance, I would have no complaints. It is an amazing car. The low emissions and good gas mileage are the best reasons for owning this car.

My dream car!
My 2008 Prius was totaled in a car accident and I got very little from my insurance co. So, I opted for a Ford Fiesta. Hated it from the start! Took it to the dealer twice for lunging and I hated the gear shift. A disaster!! I traded it in for a 2010 Prius with 50,000. I can't tell you the extraordinary difference. It's like trading up from a Datsun to a cutting-edge, super Eco dream car. It drives like velvet. The console is easy to navigate. The body is sporty, the interior spacious, as is the trunk. I can't think of anything negative other than my III model didn't come with a 6 changer CD player. But, the dealership will rectify it. I will never shop out of the Prius family.
