2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE 4dr Sedan AWD (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Purchased a LE edition. Surprised to see that the car had Toyota plastic weather mats, comparable to the weather tecks i ordered for the car. They were returned, 409$ canadian saving. I also have a 2021 kona ev. The Toyota is much more roomier on all fronts. Awd for us Canadians. Hybrid make more sense than only electric in cold weather. Trust me on that one. Nice reliable car.

Happiness is reliability

2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid XLE 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited in mid May 23. By mid June it had been in the shop for battery issues three times when they decided to keep it. Couldn't fix it so Hyundai agreed to buy it back. It took four months but I received the entire purchase price. While the Elantra had more "stuff" (ventilated seats, 10.25" screens, better acceleration plus a few other items) the 2024 Corolla Hybrid XLE is just worry free. I enjoy a smoother ride, the optional JBL 800 watt stereo and most importantly peace of mind. I don't understand how reviewers don't take into account the proven reliability of Toyota when grading vehicles. Sure, others may have lots of tech features but if the car doesn't operate what good is it. Also, it may have a great warranty but if the manufacturer takes four months to honor it ..... I suggest reading owners forums prior to purchasing a new vehicle - wish I had listened to their advice. I have a boring Corolla appliance and am very pleased.

2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid SE 4dr Sedan AWD (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

I am very happy with my selection. It’s hard to find any complaints. Most of Edmunds cons are nit picking. First, the trunk has plenty of space for my needs. I am six feet tall and have plenty of leg room. Personally I would like to see a higher roof line and more head space. They are correct in saying you are not getting exceptional acceleration, but I tend to accelerate slowly to get better gas mileage, I am getting better gas mileage than it’s rated for due to my conservative driving style. If you want better acceleration you have to move up to a Prius with a bigger price tag. For me, I was not willingly to pay more for the Prius. The downside they don’t mention is that if you by the SE the low profile tires have a harder ride, so you pay a price for that. The AWD matched with my studded winter makes winter driving a breeze. It’s almost like driving in the summer. The sun roof and styling of the SE appealed to me and I am glad I upgraded as I plan to drive the car for 15 plus years. In the end most Corolla owners appreciate its reliability, longevity and fuel economy. In my opinion it’s only competition is the Prius.

Hybrid at MSRP

This is the only Toyota hybrid the dealership would sell me at MSRP, it runs fine and gets around 49 mpg combined. Took it to Vegas without any issues, it will get over 500 miles on a full tank. Only 2 complaints is road noise and the wireless apple carplay does not sync so navigation apps do not work properly. If you want to use the Toyota Navigation it will cost $15 dollars per month.

Have had my xle for about a year now. It is a solid and problem free car. It gets about 50 mpg and is a quiet place to be although 75 mph begins to get a bit noisier. I have added a spare and jack, a homelink mirror, and a catalytic converter shield for my peace of mind. This is a spunky car that gets off the line quickly and by no means do I feel this needs more power. The seats aren't the most comfortable, but that could be due to my spine that is 70 years old as the ride is smooth and quiet. I much enjoy Toyota's safety sense 3.0 as it has saved my hide a couple times from an accident. It brakes for you if it senses an oncoming collision. I would recommend springing for the blind spot monitor (standard on my '24 XLE), as it has also saved me from idiots who like to lurk in my blind spots. Downsides are no spare tire and dash controls are on the smallish side. Toyota rules all hybrids imo and this car shows it.
