Avalon

I almost passed this car up in my search for a replacement for my 98 Camry with 150K miles on it. I just decided to drive one before I went on to the Mercedes dealership to buy the E- Class that I drove the day before. A close look told me that this was not the boxy, bland Avalon of old. What an amazingly exciting car Toyota has assembled here! Power to spare, and it is silky smooth. Interior design is beautiful and very comfortable. Best seat design for a big person that I have seen. The dual zone a/c is a little confusing at first, but I figured it out with practice. I would like to see a nice looking door guard worked in, but otherwise, this car is outstanding in every way. Big and roomy!

My third Avalon - love it! Better than all the rest. Great trunk space and the back seat can seat the anyone with long legs.

What a GREAT Car

The new body and interior are fabulous. The '05 is bigger, roomier, and gutsy beyond simliar model cars. I have a '95 Avalon with 230,000 that has been handed down to my son; car runs like a top. If you know anything about Toyota reliablity you know it's second to none. This purchase broke one of my rules of normally buying year old, but when I saw this car, and then drove this car there was no turning back. There are serveral clever creature comforts inside and the 285hp make this a truly fun car to drive.

Comfortable, fast, luxurious, flashy but not cop drawing flashy, great mpg for its size and speed. I researched every major make and model on the web and test drove about 10 different vehicles. so many cars looked amazing on the websites but driving them was not pleasing. for instance, the nissan maxima-you can't see out the back window and the interior (which looks unbelievable on the website) was all cheap and flims plastic. the avalon looked better than it did on the website. all my friends say "i thought that was a mercedes-i can't believe it's a toyota!" incredible car-best decision i ever made.

Almost a TEN

Always felt the Avalon to be a vehicle for sedate, retired folks, and it was. This new 2005 model is not your grandfather's Avalon. It is slick, sleek and hauls. Take a test drive and be a convert. The fit and finish is typical of the Toyota brand, no squeaks, no rattles. Terrific design excercise, both in and out. Roomy, comfortable and sassy. Shop around, some dealers are going nuts with their pricing. I ended up buying the base XL, in black with the optional rear spoiler from the Touring model, and my final deal was nearly $7,000.00 less than the first dealer quoted. Drove more than 125 miles round trip to get the car at the right price. At 31 mpg, highway, it was worth it.
