Used 2012 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
Great job, Toyota!
This is my second 4Runner, my first being a 2006 SR5 4WD. I have also driven a 2000 SR5. Toyota has done an excellent job with the redesign of this vehicle. It still feels like a 4Runner, but has better power, comfort and refinement all around. I am hard pressed to find a reason for some of the negative reviews I have read, as the vehicle is as good as it gets for a SUV. I am averaging 19.5 mpg, the seats are very comfortable, the engine has plenty of power, the turning radius is small, the suspension soaks up everything, and the vehicle just has an overall feel of quality. The '10 4Runner has remained true to its roots, but is better than ever.
Outdoorsy Family Perfection
Haul's canoes, stows camping gear for everyone, gets us to offroad locations with style and remains sure-footed and assured, even in the Starbuck's drivethru lineup. Wife, kids, dog, and friends all love this Limited Edition beast. We've put 90k miles on since purchasing used with 30k on it. I put Nitto Terra Grappler tires on it but otherwise it's stock. Pros: electric back window (loved by our dog). durable, comfy interior. Amaazing off-road capability. Safe. Looks great, even a decade after manufacture. 3rd row seats very handy. Low maintenance - just change oil, fluids, brakes, etc. and that's about it at the 120k mark. Cons: not as quiet or spacious as unibody competitors. Stereo just OK (CD changer jams, sound quality is a bit weak and tinny). Obviously a newer version will have more safety and convenience tech. OH, and gas mileage: I'm getting 17mpg avg. If you want to really travel off-road, especially if you have a family and also want to be safe and comfortable in town, there are few options as good, if any.

Classy, Comfy, & Sophisticated
I have had my 4Runner for only a month, but I have already driven it over 3,000 miles, and I'm in love with this car . . . or is it a truck? I bought an SR5 with black exterior and tan leather interior, with the premium options package, and everyone who sees it or rides in it comments on its comfort, appearance, and leading-edge features. For a beefy SUV, this vehicle has an exceptionally comfortable and quite ride and performance when you need it. Also, the sound system is incredible! The Entune System is a little complicated and, frankly, somewhat finicky, but it's worth with it to have Bing and Pandora at your fingertips in your car. Love it!

Will always have a 4Runner. No reason to buy another SUV
