Used 2022 Tesla Model Y Consumer Reviews
Good Bad and Ugly
My 2022 Tesla is gem of a car, some days. It has small rattles as it is not a Benz, Beemer, or Porsche. It is incredibly fast, but lacks some of the creature comforts you find in luxury cars. It is a very “smart” car. It has many software options to tune performance and personalize your ride. It rarely ever parked in the first row of valet at your favorite upscale club or restaurant. With that said, I love passing gas stations.

Dangerous oversensitive steering
Had a 2018 model 3 loved it no complaints. 2022 model Y steering is too sensitive. A white knuckle ride at 70 Miles an hour through Easy to moderate turns. The slightest input on the steering wheel will send you darting around the road. buyer beware. Took it to Service Center 20-year-old tech drove it in circles around the parking lot and told me there’s nothing wrong with it. what a slap in the face

Horrible car
I bought Tesla model y performance about two weeks ago and I absolutely hate it! This is a car to drive short distances. I took it for a 123 miles ride and had to recharge it twice. Charging isn’t cheap either do it’s false advertisement that you’ll spend much less than gas. Yes a little less but the charging hassle is so not worth it. Besides the car is so cheaply made it’s a shame! Things misaligned I’m the car. Poor quality all over. Bunch of plastic with an I pad. I will be changing the car in less than a month. This car is totally not worth it and I do not recommend it to anyone. Do not get fooled and fall for this car. *** an update*** I got rid of it after few short weeks!

FSD and Phantom Braking Nightmare
We bought into the idea of the EV and went “all in” on the Tesla. We purchased Full Self-Driving (FSD), which turns out it isn’t. This feature couldn’t be used at night because the interior camera monitors the alertness of the driver. The camera cannot see the driver at night and disables FSD after blaring warnings and flashing red on the screen, as if you’re about to die a violent death. Phantom braking (braking for absolutely no reason whatsoever) is the scariest I’ve encountered while driving a vehicle. Watch videos of this issue and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Otherwise, our Mosel Y was wicked fast and handled very well. We traded it in for the issues above, as well as the fact the we are too spontaneous and like to go off of the beaten path on trips. The charging became an issue.
