Quiet, comfortable and fast
Worth the wait. After my first 2 months and nearly 2,000 miles I’m impressed. The seats are amazing, the car is nearly silent and the power is uncanny. I commute 0ver 100 miles round trip every day and this car makes it almost enjoyable. Very relaxing to use the standard autopilot system. I don’t think the full self driving is a good value given how well the standard system works. Odd center display focused controls but I’m getting quite used to the minimalist approach. Excellent sound system although I do wish they’d find a way to include CarPlay. Roomy, well screwed together, and no stops for gas.

Poorly-built, limited range, unreliable rocketship
I waited months to receive my Tesla Model Y with great excitement. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed the way the car drove, it has proven to be a complete disaster. I had a drive unit fail, stranding me at the supermarket. Separately, numbers electric glitches have afflicted the car, it rattles constantly and body pieces have literally fallen off. Finally, the range has been disappointing especially in the cold. It is nowhere near the advertised number. Overall, it's a loose, unreliable rocketship, which isn't confidence inspiring. I can't wait to unload it, but even resale values have cratered.

Tesla a fraud when come to delivery
I ordered 2022 Tesla Model Y long range. When is come on a delivery pickup in Carlsbad, CA (3248 Lionshead Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92010). The customer servicemen told me to sign a delivery agreement before see the car. After I signed agreement then check out the car was not look right. The doors misalignment and a huge gap in between...The guy said its normal for Tesla Model Y on a specification design and all the cars door alignment differently. He said after signed agreement delivery I can't made change to a different car or cancel it. And told I have fixed my own. Then I request speak to a manager he said that the message across the Tesla company "You can't made a change after signed agreement even the car was bad, and many consumer signed delivery agreement after see a car". I wish there was a case to sue Tesla try to fraud on delivery agreement. Lesson learn made sure request to see the car before signed delivery agreement. Tesla service people forced consumers signed agreement before see the car. I can't believe how is Tesla try to cheating on consumers on delivery date.

"Tesla isn't the right car for you"
Buyer beware. Reject your new Tesla if the body has defects. What appears like an easily correctable problem may not get fixed, ever. My new Model Y was delivered with a crooked hatch. The panel gaps between the left and right sides were at least 4mm off from side to side. I'd be ok with minor imperfections but we're looking at assembly defects that are quite obvious at a glance. Tesla's service center will try to improve the fit by adjusting some rubber spacers along the hatch, but it may not help. Good try fellas, but now what do we do? "We're sorry sir, but those gaps are within spec." 4mm difference between one side and the other is within spec? The Tesla employee will just keep saying the hatch is fine and completely within Tesla's manufacturing specification while simultaeneously stating they are forbidden from disclosing their specification. The service center will offer no remedy while making ridiculous arguments about Tesla being a technology company and not a car manufacturer; and body defects are part of the Tesla experience. This company lives in an alternate reality. If you are a "get what you get and don't throw a fit person" perhaps this absolute disregard for product quality will be OK. You may enjoy the new car. But when your new car has defects that can't be fixed by a software update you will not be a happy customer. The GM of their service center ended our interaction by stating that Tesla isn't the right car for me. Also, heads up. Full-self driving is a colossal waste of money. Some day, in the distant future, autonomous driving will change the world, but it's truly a scam at this point. I was willing to pay the premium for the autopilot feature, because who wouldn't want a car that can navigate on freeways? But what doesn't get discussed nearly enough is that the feature is genuinely dangerous. Their tech is completely incapable of anticipating possible/likely imminent situations. A human knows that the car waiting to make the left turn is a risk and adjust accordingly, or that hard braking in a particular situation could cause a rear-end collision and adjust accordingly. Your Tesla doesn't give a darn about what "could" happen. It only responds to what "is" happening and it'll slam on the brakes and throw caution to the wind. The car is also not a great judge of that "is" part, and sudden, unexplained braking can be pretty scary. "We're in Elon's hands now". No thank you.

Pure fun in a crazy safe package
I’ve had my Model Y Performance for a full year. Including a 4400 mile road trip, this car has been remarkable. It is a joy to drive, charges in my garage and with my FSD subscription - drives itself with an ever increasing degree of capability. I will certainly never go back to a gas car, and will be hard pressed to buy anything but a Tesla - certainly in the near term. If you have not driven one…give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!
