Best Car I have ever owned
I have owned t Rolls Royce's, Jaguars, many Lexus plus a Mercedes and BMW - by far the best car I have ever owned in the Tesla Model X. In the three years I have owned all I had to do was change the wiper Baldes, air filer and tires ( ONCE)- and put air in the tires. While the full self driving may be a little over promoted this is a wonderful car to drive.

7+ years of Tesla Model X
I purchased this vehicle in 2017 and have enjoyed all aspects of it. The front windshield going up and over like a helicopter is fantastic for viewing things. The acceleration beats any ICE that I’ve gone out of lights or freeway entrance. The inside is quiet and comfortable, heated seats, lumbar support, full power on both front seats. Cold weather package heats the two rear outer seats. The two trunks 1 in front and 1 in rear under floor. The gull wing doors that kids love, low and wide rear opening that makes it easy for big people and dogs to get in and out of. The feel of driving a substantial vehicle and knowing that if in a collision we stand best chance for minimal damage. Vehicles can be replaced people can’t. The over the air updates keep it current with today. Enhanced cruise control that keeps me in lane and safe distance from car in front. A lot of people complain about range anxiety. With the Tesla Superchargers located all around the country makes this BS. Even back in 2017 I had no problem with driving from NYC to locations in Fla. The car has great control, I’m sure it’s from its low center of gravity makes cornering a dream. I love this car and only let it go because I bought a Cybertruck. Low points, it has some wind noise but I’m sure this is because the rest of the car is so quiet. All in all I would buy this car again.

5 year review
I initially loved this vehicle and am still a fan, but as with any technology focused platform after 5 years things aren’t so rosy. The battery has degraded about 11%. I bought the 100D for battery life. On purchase 100% charge was 310 mi, now at 100% I get around 275 mi. That means standard charging at 80% is 220 mi. I have had to replace the main computer CPU $2400, the steering unit $550, and now it squeaks like a rust bucket. I only have 45k mi and have had to replace tires twice $1600 each time (because of the offset wheels the inside of the tires wears especially fast). Additionally things that used to be free (music, news) are no longer free. Additionally on a hot day the sensor on the falcon wing doors will not let the doors open because it senses the heat as an obstruction.

Worst vehicle I have ever owned
I bought this vehicle off the floor for $105,000. Next week key fobs quit working, tires were continually going flat, the electrical kept sporadically blacking out, the back end air shocks were stuck up in the air and the front very low. This car was continuously in the only inconveniently located shop in the Denver area. The staff does not possess the knowledge skills and abilities to repair this bucket of bolts. I finally got sick of it and traded it in on a reliable Honda. I took a $$60,000.00 loss on this vehicle with only a $45,000.00 trade in with 25,000 miles. Will never buy another Tesla again.
