Getting It Right!

This is my third new car and my favorite by far! I was on the hunt for a commuter car with good fuel economy. I got that and more! The list of standard features is excellent. Power everything! Building one's own Scion is a great merketing strategy. Add the accessories you want without having packages of unwanted features shoved down your throat. The interior styling is clean, functional and attractive. Very comfortable for such a small car. The exterior is sleek with a smart attitude - a true head turner. I had people get up off the bus bench and rush to see the nameplate and call out, "Nice car!!"

I have driven my Scion xA 1,800 miles and am extremely pleased with all aspects of this car. It lacks an outside temperature gauge, but other tham that it is a 10.

Cost effective excellent performer

From a commuting standpoint, I find the 2005 Scion xA to be an excellent performer. The basic vehicle comes with many desirable features (AC, CD/MP3 player, etc), and the no-haggle buying is nice. The automatic transmission is very sluggish until the engine warms up, particularly around 30 mph where it tends to stick in a low gear while struggling at high RPMs. This is definitely not a car to haul people around in - adults in the back seat will feel some discomfort; however, there is a lot of room for carrying other things.

This seemingly tiny car has exceptional style, performs famously, and handles unbelievably well (more like a German car than a Toyota) due to the traction and stability control (only offered on the red Special Edition).

I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL TOYOTA VEHICLES IN THE LAST 15 YRS. THIS ONE RATES AT THE TOP OF MY LIST. RIDE, ECONOMY AND OVERALL OUALITY ARE EXCELLENT,HOWEVER THERE HAS BEEN ONE BIG DOWNFALL. AFTER A COLLISION, THE PARTS ARE ALMOST NON EXISTANT. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 6 WEEKS AT THIS WRITING AND STILL THE BODY PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
