After 13 years of very reliable service my Tercel bit the dust so I went to my Toyota dealer to look at the Corolla. I need something to get me to work and back and pick up two kids with car seats from day care. The salesman recommended that I look at the Scion xA since I had a Tercel. I assumed it would be too small for the car seats but I was wrong. They fit in the back seat easily. The hatchback design makes for enough room in the back to store a fair amount of stuff. The car is very fun to drive. The milage is great. Aside from the few suggested improvements listed below the car is awesome for the price and I am very, very happy I bought a Scion XA.

This car can turn on a dime! Power transmission and small wheelbase. Get the manual- it has decent pickup and reviewers say that the automatic is sluggish...I find that this manual is more powerful and responsive than the 91 Honda civic htchbck manual that I used to have... Seats are very comfortable, car sits up higher than Hondas do. A mountain bike and drumset will fit in the back with the seats down; however, 4 bags of groceries and you have to put the seats down! Speedometer is located in a bad spot (center) have to look away from the road to see it.

I am a 19 year old female who bought this car new. It's not expensive and it gets great gas mileage. I love it. I added a lot of options to mine so it ended up being around $21,000 but they start at around $13,000. It just really depends what you want.

This is by far the best vehicle on the market for the money! The build quality of Toyota, and all the "options" that come standard in this car set it apart from autos costing $10,000. more

Pro: cheap, stylish. Cons: underpower, no armrest, no cruise control This car is a very good economy car, @ around 14K it has power everything, plus an MP3 deck, and pionner speaker system, antilock brake, and the list goes on, it is very sporty looking, at this price range you won't find any other car that can offer the same amount of equipment, from the corolla to the civic. the design of the car looks nice and easy to use. The car is seriously under power, @ a mare 100HP it's a joke, but the little thing generate the same amount of power as a civic or a corolla, the MPG is a joke, on the highway the engine takes alot to get up to speed and that hinder the MPG. the tC is better IMO.
