Never own another Nissan

Purchased the 2011 Nissan Rogue new. From day 1 it was plagued with electrical problems. Electric door locks wouldn't unlock intermittently. Also the plastic shielding / guarding started to rattle after about 3 years. Unibelt tensioner squealed terribly when the humidity got too high. Defroster / heater fan went out at 99k miles. Very difficult and expensive to replace. Clear coat was also coming off. Avg. trade in for this vehicle is usually around $3500. Received $2000 for ours. Car was definitely a lesson learned. Switching back to a more reliable car, i.e. Ford.

The size is perfect, and the SV 2011 I purchased (in 2013) came with many features for a reasonable price. However, with under 53,000 miles, the washer fluid pump has been replaced twice, cv boot, belt, mass airflow sensor, HID bulbs...it never stops.

I recently just traded this car in for a 2010 Lexus RX 350. This is a good car to start off with if you ever want to try out a Nissan. I enjoyed this car. In the snow, it's nimble and fun to drive around with, but driving up a snowy mountain pass with a full car didn't provide much of a driving experience. The horsepower was pathetic, and getting up to highway speeds is a large task for the Rogue. The one thing I heavily dislike is the CVT transmission. They told me that the CVT holds gears for more power, but I felt that no matter where my foot was pressed on the accelerator panel, it would not go any fast.Overall though, this was a good car and I definitely wouldn't mind having one again.

I'm writing this review after having just purchased this SUV today, but I just wanted to give my first impressions of it. After wanted to purchase the Murano, I decided to test drive the Rogue. After only a few minutes of driving, I was very impressed with the options and the way the car handled. It drives like a car, except with the height and comfort of an SUV. It has a very smooth ride. We opted for the SV with the SL options. It has everything we need, including navigation, and cost over $8,000 less than the Murano.

Great car! Not too big, not too small. Looks good, drives well, very efficient gas mileage.
